"We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."

James came out fast for the initial quote, turned it around very quickly after the site visit, and got us on the schedule quickly after we decided to move forward. His price was extremely reasonable compared to quotes from other highly rated providers, especially considering that they included drywall patching, which most other firms didn't. At several points in the job, small changes needed to be made (moving switches, adding some lighting, removing old fixtures and their support, installing fans, etc.). We had good back-and-forth discussions in figuring out the right solutions, and all three team members were extremely responsive and cooperative in making sure these fixes were made as requested. They treated our house with as much care as their own. I highly recommend New Design."

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"Darnell is very professional. We have young children and I very much appreciated that he and his crew were on time everyday and cleaned up every day after they left. Communication was easy with both him and his wife who primarily does the scheduling. The price was outstanding and we would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a general contractor in our area.
