"I can’t speak highly enough of Penny Smith as our real estate agent. Her professionalism, knowledge, honesty, integrity, and complex work ethics are very much appreciated and respected. She is detail-oriented, honest, good with people, and has a knack for selling homes. We sold our home one week after it was listed and received $125,000 over asking."

Customers say: Quick response

"I needed to have a fair and unbiased appraisal by a certified appraiser to assess property values as of the date of my mother's passing. I spoke with Randy and by the answers he gave to my questions, I determined he was the right professional to engage with. His reports were consistent in methodology, clearly explained in each category, and well accepted by my estate attorney for the exercise. Beyond that, he was professional with his dealings with me and did not hesitate to take the necessary time to ensure I understood the appraisal contents."

"Marlene was the consummate professional. I contacted Here For You Appraisal based on several recommendations I received from people I work with as this was somewhat new to me and I didn't want to take any chances. Once I contacted her, she was very responsive and was able to complete the work within a week based on both of our schedules. (I work long hours, so very limited availability) The arrangements were seamless and the completed appraisal report was made available in less than 48 hours. I'm very glad I took my co-workers recommendation and this was definitely on target, efficient, knowledgeable and she provided me with a extensive detailed report so all around great experience. Marlene/HFYA made it effortless with a quick turn around at a great price. THANKS! Oh, highly recommended."

"I had price quotes from three other companies and all were at least $75 higher. Max was very pleasant to work with and I definitely recommend him if you need a real estate appraisal."

Real Estate Agents questions, answered by experts

You can find ranch-styled homes around the North, West, and Midwest regions. Some of the states where they’re more common are California and Texas. However, it’s worth noting that you can technically find these houses across the country since there’s nothing stopping homeowners from building one—unless lack of land is an issue.

Yes, a seller is legally required to disclose any known fire damage when selling a house, including damages that were repaired. That includes damages to structural components and all major systems, as well as water damage, chemical damage, and smoke damage related to the fire. Sellers use a property disclosure statement, which is regulated by each state individually, to disclose fire damage.

There are a few reasons why barn doors are appealing to homebuyers: they’re unique and add a rustic charm to any home. While interior barn doors are a newer favorite of homeowners, when it comes to trendy renovations—like soaking tubs, farmhouse sinks, and barn doors—it’s best to wait to see if the trend withstands the test of time before making the investment.

While there's not a lot of definite research, some experts suggest that an in-ground or wall-mounted basketball hoop can add value to your home by increasing curb appeal. In addition, having a basketball hoop is an attractive feature of a house since it promotes physical activity, especially for children.

Tiny homes may depreciate and be more challenging to sell because of their size, customization, and unique space. If your tiny home is on wheels, depreciation can happen in the same way that cars and RVs do. If your tiny home isn’t structurally sound, the resale value will also be lower.
