"G.Z.L. Painting ( Adam ) was awesome ! The house has never looked better in the 22 years we have lived here ! Had it painted twice before and just never looked like this did with final product. Always very attentive to the details and beyond expectations ! He dealt with our time line, pets, and overall any curveballs when we needed to leave or run out. Even after leaving the site, always clean and very thorough job ! Thanks again Adam and your hard working crew !"

"Excellent. Very nice man to work with. Came out, looked at the stucco repair, told me he could do it today, quoted me a fair price and about 2 1/2 hours later: the job was done. Looks great. Left the area clean. Did I mention he was a very pleasant chap? Highly reccomend. Note: there wasn't any "stucco repair" listed above - I figured Brick and Stone was close enough."

"From the beginning I got a home visit with a detailed estimate. I received day to day communication from Jesus. The company was flexible and responsive to my needs. The company cleans their work area daily so HOAâ s have nothing to complain about. My home turned out looking like new construction and I am well pleased. I give this company my highest recommendation and I would hire them again. You wonâ t be sorry. The cost was well within my budget no surprises."

"Sebastien was professional, and a pleasure to work with. He was easy to talk to and plan the project. He had a clear understanding of the scope of work, and his pricing was very reasonable. The quality of workmanship was impressive, he did an excellent job for drywall, stucco, plumbing, and installing windows. He also took the time to keep the job site clean when he left each day. I will be hiring him again."

"I had water damage that was caused by poor installation of a dual pane window insert. When I contacted Josh, the only evidence of a problem was the deterioration of the sheetrock and water stains on the baseboards. I did not know the source of the water. Since the issue was in the walls, I had no idea of the extent of the damage. Josh came out to give an estimate and took the time to explain that the issue was at the top of the window insert. The cure involved removing the window insert, putting Z flashing above the window, applying a water seal above the window, applying stucco above the window, removing the interior drywall, cleaning up the termite damage behind the wall, treating the wood, insulating the wall, plying new drywall, and painting. The workmanship was great. All this work and coordination came at a very reasonable price. Thank you, Josh, Khalid, Ernest, Enrique, Jose, and Andy. You are a great team."

"Great experience getting windows installed by American Home Renewal. First contact was 6 months ago. I slept on it for a few months and got some other quotes. Chris was friendly as a sales man, Gave me a competitive price and some pointers on fiberglass vs vinyl. I went with Vinyl. Alex was the installer and was very detailed in explaining the install process. He explained everything in detail to me and showed me tips on how to do a proper install. We did a mix of new construction and retrofit. we added window casings and he was very thorough and asked multiple questions on how I wanted the casings to look. only hiccup was one of the windows was ordered wrong. we couldn't determine where the mixup occurred but they immediately took full ownership and reordered me a new window to the specs I wanted. I would highly recommend."

"Juan was very professional, polite, honest and extremely flexible while he helped us with the gutters and drains. The project turned out to be much more complicated than he expected but he kept his word and honored the agreement. He is the definition of going above and beyond to get the job done- correctly. We will definitely be reaching to him again for another larger project that we have coming up. Recommend him a million percent!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Choosing between traditional and synthetic stucco depends on your specific needs, budget, and climate. Both options are durable, but synthetic stucco includes an extra layer that makes it more resistant to cracking and a better choice for climates with extreme weather. In hot, dry climates with less rainfall, traditional stucco is a suitable and more affordable option that is less likely to trap moisture. Synthetic stucco also offers more color options and requires less maintenance.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.

The average cost to repair stucco is about $1,600, with projects ranging from $250 for minor fixes to $6,700 for extensive work. The price is often calculated per square foot, typically costing between $60 and $120. Some professionals may charge an hourly rate of $40 to $50. The final cost depends on the extent of the damage, the type of stucco, your home's location, and whether there is underlying damage that also needs to be addressed.

Costs for specific repairs vary:

  • Cracks: $8–$20 per square foot

  • Holes: $250–$450 per hole

  • Water damage: $30–$50 per square foot

  • Chimney repair: $60–$120 per square foot

  • Recoating: $4–$5 per square foot

While you may be able to patch small cracks yourself, it is recommended to call a professional for major repairs to ensure the job is done correctly.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

DIY is possible for small cracks or patches. Professional services ensure proper texture and color matching.
