Customers say: True professional

"Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We’re happy with how our 2 bathrooms turned out. Project was completed within the time promised. Our only complaint is that the workers did not clean up very well. But overall, we’re satisfied and we’ll use them again."

"They did a great job. We were really impressed with how responsive they were - they came and gave us an estimate while the shower was still being built and installed the glass as soon as it was possible to do so - so there was no delay at all. Very happy with the end result."

"I took a cold call from Chris in Fall 2018 and am so glad I did! I had been looking for replacement windows for original 1930s wood windows, as well as a few 1970s aluminum windows. For me, vinyl just wasn't going to work as I wanted to keep the quality of the house in its original form, as well as upgrade the 70s remodel to be more consistent the original part of the house. Chris came and suggested a new product for him, Sierra Pacific. I did some research and determined, for my project and for the cost (I had bids as high as $100K for this job) that I was willing to give this product and Chris a shot. It was a very large job, 27 windows, some on the second story, plus a large 8ft glass slider, and a standard exterior door. The project did take several weeks, but Chris throughout all of the questions and decisions was helpful, knowledgeable, and aimed to please. Installation was smooth and he takes pride in making sure things are done right, are working properly, and that I was happy with the product and the work. Chris is wonderful to work with – we have had the windows in now for about 6 months and are extremely happy with the product. The quality is superior to your standard vinyl install, we sound proofed one side of the house due to neighbor noise (it works like a charm), and it is wonderful to have a fully functioning house of beautiful windows - that are consistent from original house to addition. I would highly recommend Chris and Sierra Pacific if you are considering a replacement for wood. Thank you Chris for all the work, for your partnership and guidance!"

"The service went well.  They tore off the rain gutters and fixed some other things.  They did a good job prepping.  The owner came out and was friendly and courteous.  He explained things well.  It took two and a half days to paint.  They do good work. They are fairly quick and good to work with."

"Rani was very prompt and professional when he came by to provide an estimate and list of materials that I needed to purchase. He was very clear about what his carpenter would and would not be able to do. We had initially hoped he could repair damage above an awning but Rani felt that the risk that they would not be able to replace the awning was too high. Refreshing honesty!
Rani provided a list of materials I needed to buy and said he would reach out to me after a week to see if I had them. Unfortunately it took me three weeks to buy all the materials.
This was when the biggest hassle occurred. Once I had the materials I reached out to Rani to schedule a carpenter. Unfortunately they were always too busy. Week after week, too busy, too busy, too busy. I understood that my project was small but I had prepaid and purchased the materials. Rani kept saying he would call if something freed up. Finally I tried calling on a Wednesday and he said he had a carpenter who had unexpectedly freed up and could come by that morning.
The work done was sufficient. I think the $250 I paid for the deal was acceptable, but the claimed value was $400 and I don't feel the quality of the work was worth that price. In addition Rani told me I needed to buy new screening, but the carpenter was able to use the existing screens (it was only the wood that needed replacing) so I bought that for nothing.
All in all it was only minor annoyances, in the end the work we needed got done which is why I give them a B, but if I were to need work again in the future I would probably try a different contractor, one with more A reviews here.

"Pretty good. The installers showed up without one of the doors and had to wait around almost all day for someone to bring it out to them. Also forgot the keylock and screen and had to reorder those."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Although glass block windows are made of multiple layers of thick glass, they can still break. If an individual block shatters, it can be removed and replaced, but this is a job for a window repair professional. The project is often complex and may require breaking the block further for removal. Do not attempt to handle it yourself, as the broken glass can be dangerously sharp. A professional will have the necessary tools and expertise to replace the broken glass block quickly and safely. Before hiring, confirm that the repair pro has experience with this specific type of window.

Regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners helps prevent buildup and maintains clarity.

DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.

Glass block windows come in various patterns and styles that offer privacy and unique aesthetics. Frosted or textured glass diffuses light and enhances privacy. Wave-pattern glass blocks imitate ocean waves with flowing lines. Ice-glass blocks resemble cracked ice. Fluted glass blocks feature parallel vertical grooves, adding texture and depth. Clear glass blocks, similar to glass Coke bottles, offer transparency with some distortion and may have smooth surfaces or subtle textures, adding visual interest.

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.
