I had planned to install them myself with the help of my grandson and we had gotten one installed when he got a job offer, out of state, which he could not pass up. These windows were too heavy and bulky for me to handle myself and my search for an installer happily brought me to Jeff Petty and CW&E. Jeff's crew arrived on time, were polite, clean and efficient and except for a short lunch break, worked straight through to completion. There were no surprises with the price and my family and I are very happy with the results of their work. Whenever I might need help with a similar project, I will call CW&E again."

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home.
