They roll out cotton dropcloths in the hallways, vent fumes out the window, and mask off all bathroom surfaces, making sure there is no overspray. (although full disclosure: they didn't mask off one doorknob in one of my bathrooms and it has overspray on it). My two 1960's-era fiberglass tubs looked immaculately new after Marco and Octavio sanded, repaired, and refinished them. The price was about what I would expect to pay nowadays, $500 per tub. They had tall surrounds."
