Customers say: True professional

"I hired Perez Painting to paint the interior of my rental unit (condo). They did a great job and the pricing was fair. Everyone from the painters (Jorge and Marco) to the secretary (Hillary) was helpful and a pleasure to work with. They were accommodating to my schedule which was really helpful since I live 45 minutes away from the unit. I even felt safe enough to leave them with a set of keys to the unit since I couldn’t be there to let them in each day. Lastly, they finished a day ahead of schedule and my rental looks amazing!! I would absolutely hire them again! Thank you Perez Painting!!"

Small jobs welcome

"After receiving several quotes, Jose from Premier Pro Painting came in with the most affordable quote, and his quality of work was outstanding! His professionalism, friendliness, communication and commitment to being on time met our expectations, by far. Not only does he paint exterior and interior, he also paints cabinets and does drywall work. I highly recommend Premier Pro Painting to anyone searching for quality work. Thank you Jose and Ciola for a beautiful job, well done!"

"Dave came in and did a fabulous job and the bedroom was more work than anticipated from my perspective once I cleaned it out. He was professional and experienced and the price was reasonable and mid range given the quotes I received. I will reach out to them for additional projects again. Highly recommend."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

If you’re painting your home or monitoring a job as it’s being completed, squash the issue ASAP if you notice paint is getting onto the roof. Keeping it clean is one of the keys to extending your roof’s life.

Removing latex paint before it dries is much easier and lowers the risk of damaging your shingles (more on that below). Simply spray the spot with a hose for one to two minutes to clear away the drying paint. In general, this is a good way to remove ugly stains from your roof without using chemicals.

The list of what removes caulk residue includes rubbing alcohol. In some cases, rubbing alcohol can also help remove water-based caulk. However, old caulk or caulk that’s in layers from years of upkeep and projects might prove to be too much for simple rubbing alcohol and may require a caulk-removing solution from a home improvement store.

Numerous primers on the market will do the job of covering peeling paint. The best primers for peeling paint are bonding or adhesive primers that essentially glue the edges of peeling paint back to the subsurface while providing a smooth, even surface for the new paint coat.

Yes, you can technically use a pressure washer to remove paint from brick, but it comes with a significant risk of damaging the brick surface. A high-power pressure washer can be fast but may leave the brick looking unsightly. The recommended method is to first apply a chemical paint stripper, following the product's instructions, and then use a stiff metal bristle brush or a pressure washer on a low-pressure setting to remove the loosened paint. Due to the risk of damage, it is often best to hire a professional who can use low-stress methods.

There are times when you should remove all exterior paint before repainting. This includes when you need to get rid of lead-based paint (which should be done by a pro), or if you need to apply a different finish than what’s already there. Your house may also have too many pre-existing layers of old paint, in which case you’ll be better off getting rid of the old layers first.
