"Jeff's crew did an amazing job. The communication and work coordination was professional and outstanding. The crews showed up on time, were very talented and meticulous. At the end of very day the job site was clean and secure. The project was completed on time and to a very high standard. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and would use Patios by B&B again."

"Very professional team. Lawrence the plumber was very respectful and knowledgeable: put slippers over his shoes, explained procedures thoroughly to me, and even cleaned up my tub after unclogging my drain. Wow! He also replaced 2 shut off valves under my sink that were frozen or leaking. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pricing is higher than I expected and I think the pricing should have been discussed before any service was started. The pricing for the valves were discussed but only after my drain was already cleared. So I was already stuck with a service charge I thought was too expensive. It's always best to take the initiative and ask first before anyone is sent out. However, this company will get the job done right. The approximate cost includes the cost of the Angie's List deal."

"This company is absolutely outstanding, from A-Z. Product recommendation, performance and workmanship quality. Attention, to installation finishing work details. Overall team professionalism and customer care. Trustworthy. Honorable. I personally have not experienced this level of consumer courtesy from a construction related service provider in many years. Refreshing. Ask for Ron (manager) great guy that is truly, results oriented. He along with the Service All Star Team will take care of your project with the same positive experience, from A-Z. Truly a "breath of fresh air" in today's world. * Highly Recommend This Professional Group*"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water.

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.
