"Tool Time was absolutely fabulous. Extremely professional and thorough. From beginning until end, everything was outstanding. No detail was overlooked. This was a step down for my mother‘s home, she couldn’t be happier. It looks as though it was installed at the same time the other banister was. 100% GREAT JOB !!!"

"We could not be happier with our new bathroom, thanks to McCormick! Khaled was knowledgeable and really took the time to understand our style preferences. "Scott loves a challenge and thank God because I inadvertently handed him one. What started as a simple changing of hinges on a door from single action to double action became much more than that. As he took the hinges off we noticed all sorts of unevenness in how they were originally mounted so he had to drill and chisel new channels just to make sure everything was even and then further “sculpt” the channels to accommodate the double action hinge. So not only did he get the handyman stuff done effectively but he did it in a very artistic way and seemed very pleased to have a job that he really had to get creative on. And in the end the job went 2 hours 15 minutes and he charged me for exactly that (no rounding-up funny business) Scott was great and I HIGHLY recommend him especially if the job requires someone who needs to think on their feet."

"Spencer arrived at the agreed upon time. He did a variety of jobs and did all of them well. He installed four smoke alarms, tightened loose faucets, fixed a screen door which would not easily close, and fixed two kitchen cabinet doors which were not closing properly. Spencer was professional, pleasant and competent. I appreciate his excellent work."

Customers say: Quality work

"Israel was recommended to me by my sister-in-law and mother-in-law. He was quick when replying back to me on his availability and showed up early to the job. I had two toilets that had problems and the previous plumber did not complete the job and I was getting the run-around with my home warranty company who couldn't get a straight answer from the previous plumber that had contracted. I waited a whole month before giving up working with them. I'm very pleased with Israel's work and he was quick. He happened to see my screen door was slamming while installing the toilets and had that fixed as well."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

No, but they both serve distinct life-saving purposes. Smoke detectors primarily sense the presence of smoke, typically caused by a fire, and emit loud alarms to alert occupants to evacuate. In contrast, carbon monoxide detectors monitor the levels of carbon monoxide gas, an odorless and colorless but deadly substance produced by incomplete combustion of fuels. When CO levels become dangerous, CO detectors sound alarms to warn inhabitants of potential poisoning risks.

No. Pellet stoves are specifically designed to burn manufactured wood or biomass pellets. Attempting to burn other materials, such as regular firewood or paper products, can damage the stove, compromise its efficiency, and even pose safety hazards due to inconsistent combustion and increased emissions. It's crucial to follow manufacturer guidelines and only use pellets that are specifically recommended for your pellet stove model to ensure safe and optimal performance over its life span.

Some Christmas lights are marked as being “UL Safety Certified” or Underwriters Laboratories Safety Certified. This lab is a trusted source for determining the safety standards of electrical products—you should make sure your Christmas lights have this label. Brush up on other electrical safety tips before installing any lighting features.

Pellet stoves are safer than wood stoves in many ways. They don’t produce as many creosote deposits as wood stoves do, they create less smoke, and the flames are contained, decreasing the risk of any sparks or embers creating a house fire. Pellet stoves also burn more cleanly and efficiently than wood stoves do.

There are several tools available to help prevent electrical fires. First, ensure that you have GFCI outlets installed in necessary areas, along with an AFCI, which is a circuit breaker that can help prevent arc-faults. Investing in surge protectors is also wise, as they can safeguard your appliances and other items against power surges that may overload your outlet and cause sparking.
