Andrew is jus wonderful to work with! He is attentive to your needs and concerns and has an incredible vision for hardscape design and landscape. Once the design was done, they had to demolish existing cement and level our whole backyard to have more usable space. They installed pavers, lighting, gas lines for our fire pit and grill and landscape. It all came together even better than we ever imagined! The whole team was led by our project manager, Alvaro, who is a pleasure to work with. Every worker that was brought in was professional, punctual, and tidied up before they left for the day. I enjoy the variety of jobs, meeting new people and the fulfillment I get from helping my clients who don't have the time or inclination to complete those to-do lists that always come with home, business or rental property ownership. This is the most rewarding job I've had! I offer free estimates and serve most of the San Diego area. You may find cheaper labor, but I doubt you’ll find a better value. I am dedicated to doing a great job and making it a pleasant experience. I do my best not to make a mess in the first place, and to leave the job space cleaner than when I arrived. My clients often contact me for more work and happily provide referrals and references. I also try my best to be a Green Business. Although my customers have the last word, I recycle and use recycled or environmentally friendly products and materials whenever possible, and donate anything that can be used by others, rather than add to the local landfill. Please note: Due to a high volume of work and client inquiries (thanks, Angie's List!) it has become nearly impossible to return phone calls in a timely manner. I know it sounds impersonal but please email your request in order to ensure a response, and please excuse delayed replies. It's just me, and sometimes it's difficult to keep up!

"I have hired Barney for a number of handyman jobs. He is pleasant and I trusted him. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way that he does not know the limits of what he can do and he does not stand by his work. He charged me an exorbitant amount to repair a defect in a wall following removal of an a/c unit. (Since he charges by the hour and not by the job, it ended up costing more than 3x what a drywall contractor would have charged). He did not apply joint tape. A year later, the area is cracked and buckled, and he has not responded to multiple emails to address the faulty work. I'm disappointed."

"I don’t usually give bad reviews but greenway was very poor with their service and was way overpriced. I hired Greenway for a side yard work. The job was to install two sets of steps with stones and install ground covers and optimize the existing irrigation at my home. There were two medium sized pine trees which I wanted removed. The quote they gave had over $2500 just to cut the two trees leaving the stumps behind. I requested them to take that item off the request. I could have this done for less than $400 with another company. In hindsight I should have backed off and not allowed them to work on my yard at all. That was a clue to how overpriced they were. However, we decided to give them a chance. They finished the work fast, but had to redo the steps with stone because the steps started coming off within 2 days! Initially they had this done by a subcontractor. Greenway redid it because it was that bad and unsafe to walk on. The rest of the work was mediocre at best, and way overpriced for what they did. I just want to share my experience so that others do not fall for the 30years of experience that this company boasts. I have to say that the owners and the workers were very professional and friendly throughout the project which earns them 3 stars."
