"I hired Sam to assemble and put on a new water heater enclosure. Because the water heater was already installed it was a little more difficult. He knew exactly what to do though to complete the job. He was friendly and efficient and I would definitely recommend him."

"I discovered Rick Kocar of Fab Pro Services 10 years ago. He was initially referred to me as a handyman, but has since completed hundreds of repairs and small jobs as well as several beautiful remodels of a kitchen, family room/fireplace, and most recently a master bath. Rick is what we wish all handymen/remodeler could be - honest and responsive, approaching each job to give you what you want for the best value. I know what I like, but not necessarily what works with what, and he shows me options that fit me description perfectly, and gives great advice as to what will look and work best for my project. When I first met Rick and he'd done a small job for me at a house in Palos Verdes, my roof started leaking during some heavy rains and he drove all the way down from the northern end of the valley to take care of it - the same day I called! What I really appreciate is that Rick seeks out vendors and products as if it were his own money he is spending, and doesn't add big mark-ups for himself. When I wanted a much larger glass slider to better showcase a beautiful back yard, he found a premier brand door that had been ordered by someone else who then cancelled, so I got this door for about half what I otherwise would have spent! I also have dogs and could never have someone come work at my house when I wasn't there because they love to run out the door. But with Rick, he loves dogs and it was such a relief to be able to relax while at work knowing that whenever he comes he will not only make sure they're safe but also plays with them has been a game-changer for me. During one of my first jobs, one of the dogs had dug under a fence and gotten away during the day, and Rick drove all over the neighborhood until he found him. Not many in this industry that would have done that, as it wasn't his fault. In fact, shortly after that, he dropped additional posts under the fence to prevent him getting out again. When I sold my home in which Rick had remodeled my kitchen, family room and fireplace, so many realtors and people who came to view the house wanted the name of whoever had done my remodel that I asked Rick for some of his cards to put out next to the realtor's card! As you can tell, I'm a big fan of Rick's and I'm happy to recommend him, as I have to so many people."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

In San Clemente, homes with stucco exteriors, hillside foundations, or vintage layouts may present unique challenges for handyman projects. Check if your property has a slab or crawl space, older electrical systems, or galvanized plumbing. Steep driveways and narrow access points can also complicate logistics. For major updates, consult a local expert familiar with San Clemente’s building styles to identify potential complications early.

Helpful?

Completing handyman service projects in San Clemente offers immediate benefits such as improved curb appeal, enhanced energy efficiency, and better protection against the coastal climate. Over time, regular maintenance helps prevent costly repairs, supports higher property values, and can extend the lifespan of your home’s systems. Well-maintained homes in San Clemente also attract more buyers and stand out in the competitive local real estate market.

Helpful?

Before beginning a handyman project in San Clemente, review any permit requirements and secure HOA approval if your property is governed by an association. Plan around the marine layer and seasonal weather, and select materials designed for coastal durability. Schedule necessary inspections, call 811 before any digging, and verify your contractor’s experience with local homes to ensure your project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Helpful?

In San Clemente, you’ll find general handymen for everyday repairs, maintenance specialists for ongoing care, and remodelers for kitchens or bathrooms. Coastal contractors are skilled in using marine-grade materials to withstand salty air, while stucco, window, and deck experts address common local needs. For specialized work like electrical, plumbing, or roofing, choose trade-specific professionals experienced with San Clemente’s unique climate and building codes.

Helpful?

In San Clemente, signs that previous handyman work may need attention include visible salt corrosion on outdoor fixtures, persistent moisture or mildew near windows and doors, and peeling or bubbling paint. Cracked caulking, uneven surfaces, or outdated materials are also red flags. If you notice any code violations or repairs that don’t withstand the coastal environment, it’s wise to consider a professional assessment.
