  • High Country Construction
Loren recommended improvements to the deck that turned out to be very necessary due to the age of the deck and saved us more repairs in the future. He was very professional, punctual and was very easy to work with. The installation of the windows was challenging due to the design of the house but turned out great! I would recommend that you give High Country Construction a call . If we need any type of job we will call him again

  • Professional Painting
This company really goes out of their way to please, and do a good job. I hired them the first time to fix a crack in my living room ceiling and to paint it. They did a great job. Next I had my home painted on the outside, the owner helped me out with the colors I wanted and I am thrilled with it. So they are finishing up on my deck. And it looks like brand new again, only better. I am so thrilled. They also clean everything up when they are finished

  • Allen Ottinger Construction
Allen had to contend with a few surprises which he coped with. The deck was constructed of individually chosen planks. High quality all round. Above and beyond. I should not sound so enthusiastic as we plan to have him finish off another section when we have raised the funds.

  • Project Buddy
I had a wonderful experience with PROJECT BUDDY. I was hosting my annual lake house party and my deck was unsafe. PROJECT BUDDY was the only company that agreed to come to my rescue in a timely manner and was able to complete the project in record time. They not only had the great idea of the cable railing to enhance the view of the lake but my deck and balcony turned out fabulous and my party was a huge success. I will be forever grateful for the fast work and professional attitude

  • Meek's Lumber & Hardware
Ron (Admin) worked with us to ensure we had a quality job on air sealing all vents, lights, pipes, ducts and skylight penetrations, that all ducts and skylight shafts were well wrapped with insulation batts, that all air intake and exhaust vents were baffled and/or surrounded by batts so they wouldn't be blocked by blown-in insulation. In addition, he worked with us to ensure all ducts and skylight shafts were well-wrapped with fiberglass batts before insulation was blown into attic. He also worked with us to ensure blown-in insulation would achieve at least R-38 rating needed for local city rebate. Larry did all the above work and he did it extremely well. We inspected attic after air-sealing was complete and found he had covered everything that came through the cieling throughout the entire attic. He also adequately prepped the intake and exhaust vents to avoid vent blockage. He also blew in the insulation to at least R-40 and then installed batted around the attic entry and insulated the attic cover. All in all the combination of their work resulted in an extremely well sealed and insulated attic. We have seen a 10-degree drop in house temp as a result of their work as our attic was not air sealed and only had the equivalent of about r-11 insulation before the above work was completed

  • Swords Construction
We have been very impressed with Michael Swords and his fine crew. They are all very professional, kind, friendly, polite, punctual - all were always there when they said they would be - , always called if he or his crew were running at all late' - crew members were always there when promised. Asked for payment only when the job was finished, so we paid in increments. We always felt we could trust both he and all his fine crew and subcontractors - all extremely hard workers. Excellent work, craftsmanship. Spent extra time getting special permits we needed. He is almost finished with transforming our 'fixer' into a beautiful and comfortable home. We have been extremely pleased with his work on both our Shingletown house and Shasta Lake house (extensive exterior and interior work on SL house). We originally found him on Angie's list llast March. What a blessing to find people you can trust!!! Thank you Troy, David, Joe and Michael for your honesty, integrity, talent and hard work. You guys are something else! A+++++ Bonnie and Jonatha

  • Allen Ottinger Construction
Allen arrived on time to start the job. The demolition of the old deck went quickly, with good clean up. Allen takes his time to do a professional job. The repair of the back deck also went great. He took special care on the stairs to get it right, and safe. Allen uses quality material. He added a special metal / rubber sticky tape to the top of the 2 x 6s, to keep rain off. I have used his services again

  • Shane Rodriguez Construction
He came over when he said he was going to come over and I liked his price so I hired him. His quoted price is $1,500 and I found him on Angie's List.
  • Allen Ottinger Construction
Here is the comment of my tenent about Allen Ottinger Construction: My landlord needed to replace the existing deck on his house that I rent, as the existing deck was unstable, the original and was dangerous to walk on. He called for estimates and a few of them came out to give an estimate. One was Allen Ottinger Construction. Allen had called me to set up a time to come out when I was home. When he came out, he was very polite, and spoke with confidence about what was needed. My landlord chose Allen Ottinger Construction and Allen again called me to let me know when they would start and how long it would take. I appreciated that because I have 2 dogs that I needed to set up a temporary kennel for while construction was going on. He and his crew started on time and every day Allen would tell me what they would be doing the next day. They started by tearing out the old deck completely and hauled it all away before starting the new one. They were honest, spoke with confidence and high integrity about what they would be doing the next day. They cleaned up their area every day so they could start right in the next morning. Allen had told me he takes great pride in his work and even hand picks the lumber on each job. The deck they built was the most beautiful deck I have ever seen! Each spindle and all posts were sanded round on all edges. The stairs and hand railing were beautiful! When they were completed, they removed all shavings and trash and the area looked amazing! I would highly recommend Allen Ottinger Construction for any kind of construction you may need

  • Meek's Lumber & Hardware
House (1440 sq ft interior) attic was air-sealed and insulation was upgraded in accordance with current city building codes. Air sealing was done with canned fire-retardant closed cell foam. Sealing was conducted around all protrusions through attic floor, including dozens of canned (LED) lights, vent pipes, and duct work. Insulation upgrade as conducted was to R-40. All larger pipe and duct work was wrapped in fiberglass batting prior to blown in fiberglass insulation. Attic hatch was insulated with closed cell foam board with a foam seal rim surrounding the hatch. All work passed city building code inspections, with inspector commenting on how well the work was done. Work was completed in timely manner as planned. Meek's crew were friendly, and hardworking, and went out of their way to ensure work was done in a quality manner. On the plus side, the crew chief was retiring from decades of field work after our job--having been promoted to supervise future Meek's work in this area. That is a big plus for anyone thinking of using Meek's in the future
