Horizon LandscapingDerek and his crew were professional, easy to work with and extremely hard working even in the heat of the summer. They made changes as requested, offered invaluable input on what would look good, and what would not work. They started and finished in a reasonable time frame with only a few unavoidable mechanical glitches. They were respectful of our privacy and our property. They worked harder than any group of workers I've seen in this neighborhood. I have had them back once for an additional project ans I have another scheduled for after the summer season. High Country ConstructionHe spruced up the front porch with some new wood and tightening down what was there. I believe he did some work to our back porch as well. High Country ConstructionThe screened porch involved removing existing stucco, installing siding for new interior and exterior walls, knotty pine T&G ceiling, ceiling fan, outlets, switches, outdoor light, skylight and pet door. Loren (the contractor) was very helpful in making suggestions for design and used first-class materials. His workmen did a superior job; even the building inspector was impressed! The porch came out better than we envisioned. Loren and his workers are always professional and cordial, and cleaned up the work site each day before leaving.- Melody L.

McQueen Painting and RemodelingRandy was so pleasant to work with, we originally had him paint our make repairs to our deck that had dry rot and beef it up. It turned out great. Next we had him paint out kitchen cabinets and put on new hardware that turned out beautiful! They look brand new and at a fraction of a cost! He was very patient with me as I went through several different stain choices before deciding on painting them instead. We then decided to use him again to paint and make repairs to the exterior of our house. It also turned out beautiful and we have gotten many compliments on both jobs. Randy works alone and is very detailed. He is great at communicating what's going on and when he will be working at the job site. He is very professional and clean and gives you detailed invoices with receipts for the materials he's purchased. We felt that he was definitely worth every penny we paid him. I have already recommended him to friends and will continue to recommend him. You can tell he cares about the quality of his work which is a rare find these days. McQueen Painting and RemodelingCabinet refinishiing: I wanted my bathroom to be re-painted, little noticing that the cabinets in there also needed attention. Randy talked to me about doing the job. I had never seen his work with wood, just his painting, which is nothing short of spectacular. I finally agreed to let him re-finish the cabinet fronts. He sanded, vacuumed the area, stained, varnished and hand rubbed the finished wood. Beautiful outcome. I could hardly believe my eyes! So, I had a book cart that needed re-finishing. We picked out the stain and finish together. After sanding and cleaning the cart, Randy finished applying the three coats, I could hardly recognize the book cart. It looked beautiful. Honestly, I do not think that there is anything that Randy cannot accomplish!- Gordon R L.

McQueen Painting and RemodelingRandy McQueen painted, pressure washed and replaced rotting boards and railings on my garage deck and front and rear house decks. They look beautiful! Can't tell you how much I love this guy! His pricing is fair. He is punctual, and reliable, which in this area is really saying something. If he came across something else that needed to be done, he showed me the problem, explained it in non-construction terms I could understand and even told me if he thought it could wait (i.e., wasn't looking for ways to up the price). His invoices are easily understandable. I kept track of his hours and it matched his billing hours exactly. He also gave me receipts of all the hardware/paint/lumber he had purchased. I never felt he was price gouging or lying about repairs needing to be done. The guy is totally trustworthy. During the time this work was being done, I had to make an emergency trip and ended up being away for two weeks. Before leaving, I gave him the keys to my house, garage, and car so he could work while I was gone. Never for one second did I worry. In the past, he has remodeled my bathroom which involved moving my clawfoot bathtub, installing a new shower, installing new cabinets, flooring, repositioning the plumbing, painting, and even came up with a creative way to access the plumbing pipes in an emergency without tearing up any walls or flooring. I contacted Mega Power Electric Inc to install a solar PV system on a new house. Construction got delayed, I asked to add more panels, things changed, they had to visit the site multiple times to coordinate with roofers, electricians, and others. Throughout they were courteous, responsive, and thoroughly professional. They informed me at all steps of the process what to expect, and things pretty much happened as they described. As a HERS Rater, I've been involved in inspecting a lot of solar installations and getting to know the companies doing the installation. Mega Power Electric Inc is as good as they come.

Loving my backyard. Can’t wait for COVID to be over so I can have gatherings and show off my new backyard. For now, my toddler is loving walking or running around the backyard without worrying about tripping from the old slimy cement I once had. Yay pavers! I worked with Jim, Frank, and Beau. First, Jim has a good vision which helps as most customers like me only know they want pavers and how much I can afford (though never tell contractors that). He measured the area, went over the colors and design, etc. Frank kept me in the loop on the schedule and Beau took care of me during the whole project. I am truly thankful for Beau as he worked with my last minute additions (sitting wall and lights). I mean I literally woke up and thought hmm “lights” and here I go texting Beau. I think since my budget was limited, Jim just gave me what was most important to me and he truly stretched what I can reach with my budget. The guys who worked on the pavers are like miracle workers, I mean I went to get a quick fast food brunch drive-thru and when I came back, the old stuff was mostly all taken down and its only been an hour or so. What they can do in 2-3 days was unimaginable. Yes, thats all the time it took and no they did not cut corners as I was observing the process from time to time. It was like HGTV live for me (I mean we all watch “Property Brothers” and the such but to see it in person was very entertaining). Yes, there was no way I could have DIY this backyard project and I wouldn’t want to. When it was all done, I was very happy. I’m also impressed by the warranty as when it started raining after a month and I discovered small area pooling water. I texted Beau and low and behold, I was penciled in very fast and it was fixed by the time it rained the next time. Their knowledge on how to fix problems was very helpful especially to someone like me who would leave things to professionals but watch so I can learn from their experiences. To make my backyard better, I hired a tree removal company to remove a tree that was producing berries that started to stain my new pavers (Oh h*ll no). Unfortunately, the tree removal company cracked a brick and no they didn’t tell me, I can just see some type of scratch mark on it and it wasn’t the evening before they came. I knew it wasn’t covered on the warranty but asked Beau if they can come and fix it. I was willing to pay but they were so nice that they came and fixed it for me for free. I think they felt bad as they knew my plans of how I wanted to show off my new pavers but with COVID, plans were still on hold. They have pride on their work, that small cracked brick would ruin the unveiling. Haha. Thank goodness. Yay, System Pavers.

It was a complete Nightmare dealing with Stimson construction from start to finish ! The quality of workmanship and professionalism was so terrible! in every scope of the build process . Complete HACKERS of the building Trade to say the least ! They give us and other good Contractors a Bad Name ! I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND this company to any one. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating customers in this Manner. Take note.. it is the worst Tile work that I've ever seen in any new home !that was installed by himself not a professional Tile contractor.
