Small jobs welcome

"Andrew was professional, in demeanor and appearance. He was on time. Courteous and friendly. Knowledgeable about his business. His price was a little higher than some of the adâ s I had see in the weekly throw away paper and when I asked why, his answer totally made sense. There is a difference between a surface clean and a thorough deep clean. It had been more than 10 years since my carpet had been cleaned, and with several stains due to 2- 100 pound dogs I wanted more than just a quick pass over the top. Thatâ s what guaranteed clean gave me, I couldnâ t be more pleased. Andrew was here for an hour and a half he moved my furniture, cleaned ALL the stains and left my carpet looking brand new and the whole house smelling fresh and clean. It truly is money well spent."

"She used a wax mop to clean my floors. She just used cleaning spray no mop bucket. Cleaning the floors in that manner, left them in sticky condition. Left cleaner and smears on the wall tiles for my tub. Didn't completely scrub out the filth in a few spots in my tub."

"I used this company last year in August and then again in January. They were very helpful because our furnace wasn't working. They are great, fantastic. That is why we are using them all the time. No problems, they are on the ball, and if something goes wrong, they have a technician out. The service is fantastic, their pricing is very good. They are clean, and they give us exactly what we need to do. They tell us what needs to be done and there have been no problems at all."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

You can use baking soda to start getting the urine odor out of your mattress. Baking soda is highly absorbent and soaks up odors, so it will not only draw the urine out of your mattress but it can also get to work fighting the lingering smell. You can also use an enzymatic cleaner to break down the urine to make it easier to clean. Just keep in mind that you need to remove enzymatic cleaners from the mattress after use, as leaving them on could be dangerous.

It depends on the size of the home and the extent of cleaning, but generally, a housekeeper can clean three to five rooms per day. If deep cleaning is needed, they may focus on fewer rooms. It’s always a good idea to discuss your expectations and the time required with your cleaner upfront.

There are different reasons for wanting to wash your floor by hand or using a mop. For deep and thorough cleaning, hand washing allows you to scrub hard-to-reach spots, ensuring the entire floor is pristine. You may want to use this method every other month. Mopping is ideal for weekly maintenance and vast spaces where hand washing is too time-consuming and labor-intensive. Remember, cleaning your floors regularly is better than skipping the task altogether, so use the best method that works for you.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.
