Inside he matched the existing paint color and painted the living/dining rooms, kitchen/family rooms, entry and long hallway walls and ceilings. He fixed dry rot outside and caulked cracks inside on walls and on the brick fireplace. It looked like a new house when he finished. His bid was not the lowest, but he quoted better quality paint (as rated by Consumer Reports) and more layers of work -- power-washing with TSP, then a primer coat using Kilz, then two coats of paint. He and his crew were pleasant and neat. It was worth the "extra" (which may not really be any extra amount when considering the additional time and materials involved)."
