"Alvara was great. He and his team were very professional and did a great job. We bought a new house and they painted every room walls, ceilings, trim, closets and doors. They even repaired walls poorly patched by the previous owner. They insulated and drywalled our unfinished garage. The garage feels like a bran new room. They also mudded ceiling that was abated from popcorn. Between the refinishing of the drywall surfaces and the new paint, Alvaro's team made our 60 year old house look brand new. I would highly recommend the Star Painting Team for your next painting project."

Small jobs welcome

I enjoy painting! I look at each project and think if this was my home how would I like it to look. I have been painting for many years. I only accept payment when the job is done and the home owner is happy. I am a middle school teacher and do painting work when not teaching. I am a Christian and do my best to reflect that in my work.

"05/25/2022 Review It was such a good experience; the painter painted the wood all over around the residence in a beautiful dark blue. He also painted my patio which is also known as the Terraza Patio which is formed of metal. It was all over the back area and he gave a colorful beauty to our residence all the mentioned areas painted in the same color as the wood. The garage door was painted all white decorated with dark blue. He did such a good job. He worked for the Salazar Pelayo Family at residence address 365 Morningside Terrace Palmdale California 93551. Questions: You should contact my office at (661 ) 480-0371 It is a review made by Ana Pelayo."

Interior Painting FAQs, answered by experts

Penetrating sealer seeps into concrete pores to protect it from moisture and staining, cracking, and mold caused by water. This means you cannot remove penetrating sealers like topical sealers. The good news is that penetrating sealant doesn’t have to be removed before resealing, as most topical sealers must. Instead, you’ll want to buy a compatible penetrating sealant (often the same kind already in the concrete) and apply it. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Using a wire brush, forcefully scrub the surface to remove paint from metal. You’ll want to remove any lingering rust, too. For larger areas with caked-on rust, you may need to use a wire brush drill attachment. If the paint still won’t budge, apply a chemical paint stripper to the area and scrape off the paint, after following the paint stripper’s instructions.

The easiest and fastest way to remove paint from a surface is to use a chemical paint stripper to loosen the paint and then remove the paint using a paint scraper. You can also speed up the process by making the area as accessible as possible, which could include removing window sashes or taking doors off the hinges.

Yes, you can technically use a pressure washer to remove paint from brick, but it comes with a significant risk of damaging the brick surface. A high-power pressure washer can be fast but may leave the brick looking unsightly. The recommended method is to first apply a chemical paint stripper, following the product's instructions, and then use a stiff metal bristle brush or a pressure washer on a low-pressure setting to remove the loosened paint. Due to the risk of damage, it is often best to hire a professional who can use low-stress methods.
