Small jobs welcome

"The service was awesome. Cleaned my pool and diagnosed and made some repairs. They took my pool from a green pond to a sparkling pool again. Everything works and looks great.the best thing was being told what was wrong and following thru to fix it when they said it would get done. Would definitely recommend this company. Thanks again Aquadoc"

"SBL did a fantastic rebuild of our 45 year old pool! Everything went exactly to plan and Sal, the owner, was always available by text or phone to confirm schedules, etc. He was of great assistance in helping us select a beautiful Italian tile out of many, many choices. The pool looks wonderful. His crews always showed up as scheduled and were professional and friendly. Our agreed upon price was maintained. We are totally pleased with the work done by SBL Pools and recommend them without reservation. If any new work comes up regarding changes to the pool, they will be our first (and only) call! "We hired Alan the moment he came out to give us an estimate. He was very detailed in what his cost included - our pool has never looked better! During the summer we used to experience a green pool because the chlorine would just disappear due to the heat, but Alan checks our levels, vacuums and adds water and chlorine if needed every Monday! We are very pleased."

Customers say: Quick response

"After 20 years our pool and equipment were in dire need of rehabilitation. Our pool pump and filter went out in the same week, and we knew it was going to be expensive, so we decided to have the pool redone at the same time it desperately needed it. We had several contractors out to give us a bid, and Sanchez pools were the most punctual, professional, and honest of all the contractors we had out to the house. Thinking I would save myself a few bucks, we gave Sanchez Pools the remodel of the pool and I decided I would piecemeal the pool equipment from Craigslist. I found and bought a new pump, filter, found a cheap installer, and thought I was all set. To keep this short-winded I'll skip the bulk of the drama that unfolded and fast forward a bit. The Craigslist effort turned into a total nightmare. I ended up paying thousands and a month later the pool equipment was still not installed or functioning properly. Granted Sanchez pools were on top of the pool remodel, they were just about done, and I still don't have functioning pool equipment. I swallowed my pride, called Sanchez Pools, and told them what I had done after not giving them the work in the first place. Rather than getting the "I told you So" Kim showed up the same day, gave me a quote to replace all the equipment (for the 2nd time in 30 days) I gave her the go-ahead, and at this point the pool is complete and the new plaster is waiting for water (not recommended) Granted, I was not on the schedule, and equipment is tough to get a hold of now for the entire construction industry. Plaster needs water soon after installation, so I made my problem Kimâ s problem. She could have taken a shot at me, and I deserved it, but instead she jumped into action. Within 48 hours all new equipment was installed, Filter, Pump motor, heater, and all the wiring/plumbing that goes with it, the pool was now filling with water, and I was the lucky guy that got to pay twice for equipment and installation. Had I just let Sanchez Pools do their thing in the first place it would have saved a ton of time, energy, headaches, and cash. The team at Sanchez Pools are thoughtful, considerate, punctual, knowledgeable, professional, reasonable, and all this in a market where you can cherry-pick your customers, charge a premium, and don't need to deal with major nightmare customers like ME. First, I would like to say thank you to Kim and the whole team at Sanchez Pools. You really went above and beyond the call of duty. We were so fortunate to have you on our job. It could have gone bad a dozen different ways, but you guys are just a class act period. My advice while scrolling through potential contractors to choose for your pool project. I've already done the legwork, had 5 bids, tried to save a few bucks by piecemealing the project, and at the end of the day, I could have had it ALL done in one single call and saved thousands. Call the folks at Sanchez Pools, and rest easy knowing you are in good hands. I would like to add that they are not friends/family, nor they did not ask me to write a review they just earned it, plain and simple."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.

Professionals prevent misalignment, ensure sturdy construction, and save time by handling complex instructions.
