"SBL did a fantastic rebuild of our 45 year old pool! Everything went exactly to plan and Sal, the owner, was always available by text or phone to confirm schedules, etc. He was of great assistance in helping us select a beautiful Italian tile out of many, many choices. The pool looks wonderful. His crews always showed up as scheduled and were professional and friendly. Our agreed upon price was maintained. We are totally pleased with the work done by SBL Pools and recommend them without reservation. If any new work comes up regarding changes to the pool, they will be our first (and only) call! "I highly recommend Sánchez pool construction company, their customer service is excellent. Remodeling a pool is a big investment and can be stressful, you want to make sure your make all the right choices. Kimberly sat down with me and explain so much regarding materials the overall process of having a pool remodeled. I handed over my pool to them (it was a disaster) they had a lot of work to do. When the job was complete I couldn t believe the pool they handed back to me was mine, they did an amazing job I can t believe how beautiful my pool is. Thank you Sánchez pools, Not only for my beautiful pool but allowing me to be stress-free through the process, you guys are truly amazing!!!!!!"

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.

ALTA/ACSM surveys are the most comprehensive type of land survey and, as such, tend to be the most expensive. These surveys have standardized guidelines and reports and are used in many kinds of real estate transactions to ensure consistent and accurate information is available for properties.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.
