"I highly recommend Aire Serv of Campbell & Saratoga to anyone in need of HVAC services. Alton helped me find the right system that works for our home within my budget. Alton was knowledgeable and truly explained the different options & HVAC available that would fit for our home. Alton answered all my questions with patience and expertise. The installation crew (Rene & Julio) were on time and explained the complete removal our old system and installation of the new HVAC. They treated my home with respect, cleaned up thoroughly after the job. I like their attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right the first time. Thank you for making our home energy efficient. I'm happy with the results."

Customers say: True professional

"Jerry was awesome. Showed on time and got right to work. The type of ACs I have were new to him, so he had to learn them as he went. That first job took about 1.5 hrs. The next one took less than an hour. Near the end of the first job we got talking about other projects I am thinking about. I mentioned that I was thinking about getting my house painted (just in the investigating process right now no commitments" and that I had several estimators coming by in the next couple of days. He said "Oh, I do that too". Gave me a quote right then. When we were settling up for the AC installation, he gave me a written quote for the painting. $100 less than what he had told me earlier. Very satisfied with this first job and I will definitely be considering him for future jobs. Thanks, Jerry."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, HVAC zoning systems offer energy savings by allowing precise temperature control in different zones in your home. Rather than conditioning the whole house uniformly, these systems direct airflow where needed, preventing energy waste. Tailoring comfort to specific areas reduces energy consumption and lowers utility costs, making HVAC zoning an energy-efficient choice.

No, not all HVAC systems have a fresh air intake, but there are many advantages to having one. For example, a fresh air intake can boost the air quality inside your home and help your furnace run more effectively. Plus, it can make your house more energy efficient, possibly saving you money on your utility costs.

As a general rule, you should have your HVAC system professionally serviced at least once a year, though it's best to follow the manufacturer's specific recommendations. Many experts suggest twice-yearly maintenance: once in the spring for the cooling system and once in the fall for the heating system. This is especially recommended for older units, systems with recurring issues, or heat pumps that provide both heating and cooling. Regular service, which can cost between $100 and $550, keeps the system running efficiently, helps prevent costly future repairs, and saves money on utility bills.

Swamp coolers cost approximately 50 percent less to install than central air conditioners and cost less to run. Operation costs depend on the size of the unit and home, your climate, utility rates in your area, and the system’s efficiency. Swamp coolers use 15 to 35 percent less power than air conditioners.

The time it takes for an air conditioner to dry fully after cleaning depends on the unit's size and humidity levels. Most units will dry within two to four hours after cleaning, but check the manufacturer's recommendations for drying times. Make sure to leave the unit off until it's completely dry.
