I decided to find a new contractor, and was lucky enough to find Mark Besnos, the owner of Horizon Construction and Remodeling. Mark was able to make my vision a reality, which was no small task. He worked with my designer, Misti Riedel and I and had the patience of a saint. This time around, it was an enjoyable experience. I wake up every morning and walk out into the main living area with a big smile on my face. Before Mark remodeled, my place was so drab.   I had a great experience with 4 Season Remodeling & design and their entire team, when my wife and I moved into our new home in Westlake Village at the end of last year. This was not my first project, and over the years, I have worked with a few home remodeling companies in different states. When we first moved to Westlake Village, we found a house that was in a pretty awful shape but which had an excellent market rate. However, in order to move in and call it home, it had to be fully remodeled. That’s when my search for a local home remodeling company began. I had a few virtual meetings with a couple of contractors that I found online, but things didn’t move forward.I ended up contacting an old friend who immediately recommended 4 Season Remodeling & design. He was very enthusiastic when he described his experience of working with them. He also had wonderful things to say about their remodeling crew. A few key points that really stood out during the remodeling process were that the entire team was very easy to contact. There were no delays or excuses about showing up to work on time. The team arrived punctually every day, did their work, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each workday.Thanks to the updates and our project manager, it was very easy for both myself and my wife to understand the work stages and timeline.   We had 1500 sq ft of turf installed in our backyard. It was pricy, but all turf is pricy these days AND these guys are awesome to work with. They are complete professionals and absolutely know what they are doing. Having dealt with a lot of unreliable contractors, we’ve decided we will pay extra if it means I’m getting a pro experience with no headaches. They arrived at all meetings on time and prepared.   We hired Hye Turf Designs to xeriscape our front and back yards. I’ll be honest with you. Prior to this, we didn’t even have so much as an irrigation system and our yard was a mess. Other than wanting something low maintenance and drought resistant, we had no idea what we were looking for. Hutch Khandjian, Designer and Project Manager, took us under his wing and designed an eye catching landscape using a combination of DG, rock, astroturf and plants. To say we are pleased with the result would be an understatement. Our beautiful yard was created by a team of people who made the whole experience a pleasure. Congenial and communicative, we felt comfortable with them from the start. They completed the project in a timely manner. Daily our property was left clean and tidy. They worked diligently the entire day. The results are impressive. and professional. He speaks English, he is a licensed landscape contractor, provides Worker's Comp to his employees and understands the requirements of being a licensed contractor. He did not require a deposit for this project and we paid him when the project was completed. We are talking to him about doing additional landscaping /hardscaping for our residence.
