"Doug Kissmann, owner of Kybrie Construction, does an excellent job. I have had him do three significant projects over the last 2-3 years. A new second floor deck, a complete kitchen and half bath remodel and a 2 full bathrooms remodel. He does very good work, is conscientious, sticks to a budget and more importantly, follows through to ensure his customer is more than satisfied. Doug is a true professional and takes great pride is his work. I am pleased to recommend him and his work."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Many contractors prefer checks because they’re easy to track and have no associated fees. However, many also accept credit cards (though they might add a fee to cover their processing costs).

Rates vary by task complexity and time, often providing cost-effective solutions for homeowners.

A handyperson is the professional term used to describe professional fixers who can tackle a wide range of general home repairs. Some pros may prefer to use the term handyworker, handyman, or handywoman, so we recommend politely asking your pro how they would like you to identify them during the project.

A handyperson can perform a wide variety of home improvement and repair projects. Common jobs include painting, cleaning gutters, assembling new furniture, and replacing fixtures like cabinets or lights. They can also handle more complex tasks such as installing a dishwasher, fixing minor plumbing leaks, refinishing wood floors, and replacing doors. Generally, a handyperson is ideal for any project that does not require a specific license or certification, such as those related to major plumbing, electrical, or structural work, which should be handled by a licensed tradesperson.

To install or move washer and dryer hookups, you will likely need a combination of professionals. A plumber can handle the water supply lines and drain pipes. If you have a gas dryer, a plumber certified for gas lines or an HVAC specialist will be needed to run the gas line. An electrician is required to install the correct electrical outlets. For simpler jobs, a local handyperson may suffice, while a contractor might be needed for tasks like drywall repair for the new vents.
