Can't recommend highly enough. He gave excellent advice and saved me money in the long run with their current promo. Look no further for the best security company!"

"Walter and Glen at Protect Your Home Group with ADT are the best people to talk to in terms of security alarm. Being a locksmith myself I know how important it is to deal with the right people. I referred a lot of customers to them and so far they are happy with their service. I myself got one for my house. Thank you for a consistent service and great deal."

"It is so important to find an honest, trustworthy locksmith and Alan is definitely the best in the business. He is a total professional and I trust him to re-key my whole house. I have used him on numerous occasions - basically whenever anything goes wrong with my locks- and have recommended him to colleagues and friends. All have had equally positive experiences with both quality of work and price. I would not believe that other reviewer."

"When I called to make appointment, I was told coupon was just to show up, but no work was included. The price quoted for the replacement car door key was higher than I had paid another locksmith in the past for mobile services. I'm not sure of the date, but it was when the coupon ran earlier this year.

"Originally I hired them to replace my garage door. I was so impressed with their performance, work ethic and honesty that I moved up one of my major projects to hire them immediately after. Our garage gate had been built in the 1950's. It was weather beaten and shoddy looking. It should have been replaced 25 years ago. But when you've found the right people, who not only perform beyond what they promise, and are gifted with great creativity, it provides the energy you need to get busy with projects you've been putting off. They take the kind of interest that makes you feel like your project is the only one in the world. They provided plenty of examples of what would look good at our house, did the measuring, planning and installation with flawless precision. I could not be happier with the work they've done. They are the gold standard when it comes to contractors."

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should change the locks as soon as you can after completing the purchase of a house. This is a matter of privacy and security, as you have no idea how many copies of the keys the previous owner made. You can change the locks yourself or hire a pro to replace or rekey the lock, which costs $50 to $100.

As with any computer, smart locks can be hacked by someone with the technical skills to do so, but most people do not have that ability, making smart locks relatively safe. If you have any concerns about a compromised smart lock, opt for an encrypted smart lock, change your Wi-Fi password, and make sure that you only give out your password to trusted family and friends.

Always consider security a top priority in your home. Perform a safety inspection of your home. Look for broken locks and rusty deadbolts, and take an inventory of who has access to your keys.

Consider the locks on your shed, safe, and other household items. Professional locksmiths can help you determine the best safety and security options for your home and feel at ease.

When a locksmith comes to your home, ensure your safety by having the locksmith show identification and provide an itemized invoice that you can reference later.

Regrettably, entirely pick-proof locks don't exist unless you opt for keyless varieties. Locks advertised as "pick-proof" are, in reality, more resilient against lock-picking and bumping attempts because of complex mechanisms consisting of pins and sidebars. These locks work like this—they assign two tasks to the key, enhancing security by making unauthorized entry more challenging.

Rekeying should be done when employees leave or keys are lost, while replacement may be necessary for outdated or damaged locks.
