When Lee first bid the job, he had lots of great ideas not just about the overall design and work, but also ways to save me money. He did not take a deposit up front, and only a small one when the job started. From there he billed based on the completed portion of the job and never came back for more money when complications came out of the blue for him. About the schedule, Lee said they would be there every day until the job was done, and he was right. They arrived on time daily and never left a mess. It is said that any construction process is painful for the owner, but that if a job is well done the pain quickly fades. With Highland landscaping, there is no pain in the first place. "I had found Honeydo through Angie's List and called to discuss if this was something they would do. Steve gave me an idea of their cost over the phone and we made an appointment for the work to be done. Steve came out a few days before to review what was to be done, look over the plans that I had drawn up and gave me a "ballpark figure." They showed up this morning with all their tools, supplies, etc. and started to work. They demolished a redwood deck (that was not being used, and the integrity was questionable), and recycled the wood into building me raised planter beds for a future veggie/flower garden on the site of the old deck. Steve and his workers were great! They stuck to the job and finished in less time than expected. The workmanship is great and it is exactly as I had envisioned it. It doesn't look like much now, but once the beds are filled and planted, it will be terrific. They cleaned up the area before leaving."
