Other contractors typically include design guidance, but I was left to figure out plant selections and their placement myself, which was time-consuming and frustrating, especially as I?m not an expert in landscaping. Roy overpromised and underdelivered. The team that came to do the physical work, led by Hugo, was fine, but I expected a professional service that included both design and supervision ? not something I had to manage myself. I was also charged $185 for a tree rose without being told its price in advance, adding to my dissatisfaction. Overall, I had a very bad experience with Roy and Nick. They are dishonest, and you may end up with a much higher bill than initially quoted. I wish I had researched their reviews more carefully before hiring them, and I would not recommend them."

"Rick is the owner and is one of the main reasons I prefer owner-run companies to do my projects. They are flexible and responsive, pivot quickly, work w/ you to make sure you get what you want. I was helping my daughter who bought her first house and the backyard was so run down and unkept. I ran a bid process w/ 3 vendors - a big company turf supplier/installer, a small company highly recommended by Yelp and Unique Pavers. Unique was clearly the best vendor when considering quality, price and responsiveness. And the real test was when we had a change of heart of what we wanted after it was installed. Unique worked w/ us, provided an alternative solution quickly and did the revised work and still was w/in the committed delivery date. The quality of the work was excellent. And I am really a tough and demanding customer so it speak volumes that I left completely satisfied and felt I got great value from Unique. The best part is when my daughter saw the finished work, she was so excited about the transformation of her backyard. Make me feel great as a dad!"
