"We’ve known Manuel for about six years now and we have been so fortunate to have found such a wonderful and honest contractor. Manuel goes above and beyond the call of duty to complete our projects in a timely manor. He is extremely Professional, knowledgeable in his field, and worked with us to accomplish our projects within our budget. He happened to be running on a very busy schedule, but when we had an emergency plumbing issue he was able to work us into his schedule very quickly. We were so relieved to have the issue fixed within a timely fashion. Not only has Manuel worked on our own home, but has prepared our rentals for our tenants. He remodeled two bathrooms along with installing beautiful tile, put in ceiling fans and new carpeting. We also love that Manuel always gives us options and choices for our projects. My husband and I would highly recommend Manuel Tenorio for your home improvement needs! Thank you Manuel...you’re the best!"

Small jobs welcome

"Wes did a whole house re-wire for me. He was very communicative and offered a variety of options and solutions for different complicated situations. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole project and I never got the feeling he was trying to upsell me like I’ve had in past experiences. I won’t use any other electrician and would recommend him 10/10 times."

"Wally was great! We hired him to install a 30 amp outlet for our trailer. He made sure the job was done properly which, in the end, included moving an electrical box. He did the job for a price that was far below the nearest competitor. On top of that, he's a super nice guy. I highly recommend him and will use him again for any electrical needs."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.

Keeping dust off fans can keep them working optimally and help keep dust mites or bacteria from building up. Dust fans weekly with a duster, microfiber cloth, old pillowcase, or vacuum attachment. You can also try spraying a clean fan with a store-bought dust-repellent product or making a DIY dust-repellent with water and a small amount of liquid fabric softener mixed in.

A blower and a fan serve different functions, so whether a blower versus a fan is better depends on what you need. If you need to heat or warm your home, it’s important that the HVAC blower is in good working condition. If you want to prevent an AC unit from overheating, make sure to keep up-to-date on condenser fan maintenance.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.
