"Mr. Johnson and his crew have performed a fewjobs from lighting installations, to doorbell repair, to rewiring. Every job has been done well and at a reasonable price. The workers were respectful and very helpful at explaining the work they did before they left. What really set this outfit apart is Mr. Johnson himself. He always returns calls, his crews show up on time and perform the work expediently. On top of this, when I have had questions about other electrical concerns, Mr. Johnson takes time to have a phone call to consult on the issue. Mr. Johnson and his company are of high integrity and I would highly recommend them for any residential electric work."

"Received a few quotes from several companies on Angie's list. I don't know if they thought I was an idiot or if they were idiots, verbally quoting me prices of up to $8,000 to move a 10ft wall out 3 ft and claiming that the job would require 3-7 days.Tony was/is my hero. He came, assessed, and unlike the others went back to his office and emailed an estimate citing everything that would be done. He estimated 2-3 days for completion. On the first day, Tony arrived before 9 and completed what he had to do in record breaking time, drywall and door installation were completed the following day by his drywall specialist.Total time taken was 2 days. To merely say that Tony is skilled at what he does would be a misrepresentation, he is knowledgeable, competent, and a master of his trade. In addition a true customer service professional and excellent team leader and coordinator. What more can I say? I am so thoroughly impressed.

"Overall, I was very satisfied. They were busy, so it took some time to schedule the work, but the issues were not urgent. I called Garafano Electric for an estimate in late December. They came out to provide an estimate within about 10 days. The work was scheduled on a date convenient for me, several weeks later. I needed them to come out for a follow-up visit on the faulty lighting circuit and they scheduled that very quickly. They were able to identify an intermittent problem with one of the circuits and came up with an effective solution. They also recommended a good wireless switch and came up with a clean way to install it without cutting into walls or the ceiling. They did the routine work - replacing outlets and switches - very efficiently. The pricing seemed very fair. I purchased the parts myself and provided them. They offered good options in a couple of situations where unexpected conditions were discovered. I would definitely recommend them and use them again."

"On a Saturday, Gil came soon after I talked to him. He was knowledge, professional, and very nice. He fixed a problem I had with a door frame, adding a dead bolt, and didn't charge me for a quick fix on a minor problem with an outdoor light. I highly recommend him. ? As a matter of fact, he'll be coming back to do several other jobs I need to do in my house. I'm saving his phone # and passing it to family members and friends. A+"

"I had a great experience with Mr. Electric. They installed my EV charger and handled some lighting repairs, and the whole process was smooth. Scheduling was simple, the technician explained everything clearly, and the work was done safely, cleanly, and with real attention to detail. They even tested everything before wrapping up. I?d definitely return to them for future electrical needs."

"Derek, the owner of Local Home Services, Inc, did an outstanding job for me. I would definitely hire him again in the future. He installed a new LED flourescent light over my kitchen sink in my apartment (something I had been wanting for over a year. He also installed a new switch in my art studio so and a new overhead light fixture that can now be turned on without flickering. He made several trips to Home Depot to find just the right light to install in the middle of the ceiling. In addition, he installed a file closet room. Now I don't have to stand on a chair in the dark to look for things. The total cost for labor and materials was just $492.50. What a deal I highly recommend this company. They are located at 518 Raymond Avenue, 10 Santa Monica, CA 90405. Tel: 424-433-5533. LHSPRO.com."

It’s important to ask an electrician a few questions before you commit to hiring them so you can make an informed decision as a consumer. If you’re getting estimates or considering hiring an electrician, ask them these questions:
Are you a full-time electrician?
Are you bonded, licensed, and insured?
What level of experience do you have as an electrician?
Can you please share three references?
Do you do residential or commercial electrical work?
What kinds of electrical work are you most familiar with?
Will any subcontractors be performing the work?
Are permits and inspections required?
Who is responsible for obtaining permits and inspections?
What is your schedule?
Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?
Will you sign a do-not-exceed clause to keep the job within the budget?
Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.
Yes, a home security system can be worth it for your peace of mind alone, but it can also save you up to 20% on your home insurance. The insurance savings will help defray the initial setup costs and subscription costs over time. Locations with higher crime rates also make home security systems a valuable investment, but it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and asset values.
Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
