"I am pleased to recommend Jose Ornelas from the True Finish Painting company for any painting projects you may be considering. I recently had the pleasure of working with him and was thoroughly impressed by the high level of professionalism and quality of work delivered. From the start Mr. Ornelas demonstrated efficiency and excellent time management, completing the project promptly without compromising attention to detail. He was courteous, respectful of our space, and maintained a clean and organized work area throughout the process. Equally important, he was highly knowledgeable—able to provide expert guidance on color selection, finishes, and materials, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I would not hesitate to hire him again and strongly recommend Jose Ornelas to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and professional painter."

We are a small, licensed and bonded company with two employees. I have 17 years of experience in painting and all it entails. The way we bill is by asking for 10% down, this will be used for the purchase of materials and start of labor. The remaining balance will be due at time of completion. In addition, we are willing to work as sub-contractor. This company offers discounts to seniors.

"Very timely when scheduled they were able to complete the exterior paint job on one day and the week prior they did pressure washing to prepare house for paint. would recommend valley pro painting."

Exterior Painting questions, answered by experts

A foam brush or paint pad is the best tool for painting behind a toilet, as it will ensure that you can wedge into the tight space between the wall and tank and it’s less likely to drip and cause a mess than a mini roller. A standard paintbrush is the best option for doing detail work around the pipes.

If you skip using a primer before painting brick, you risk ending up with a blotchy paint job that won’t last as long. Because of the natural variations in brick, paint can adhere and dry unevenly to different spots. When you use a primer, you put a neutralizing layer between the brick and the paint, evening the texture and color. Without a good primer, paint can also flake off in spots, come out blotchy, and wear away more easily.

Plaster is denser, harder, and more porous than drywall, so it absorbs moisture differently. This means you’ll often need more prep work, such as thorough sanding, patching, and priming with a high-quality bonding primer. Additionally, you may need more coats of paint to achieve even coverage. While the process takes more time, it helps ensure a durable and professional-looking result.

There is no one correct order for painting a room, as it largely depends on personal preference and skill level. However, for non-professional painters, we recommend the following order: ceiling, walls, doors, windows, trim. This is because painting trim, windows, and doors can be more time-consuming and meticulous, and it's best to save them for last when you’ve already gained some confidence from painting the larger surfaces.

You may or may not be able to paint over your old exterior paint. If the existing paint is in good shape, then you can paint a new layer on top. But if your paint is flaky, you'll need to scrape off the old paint before adding any new layers. Also, it’s best to use primer first to help your paint stick properly.
