"Glad I hired Hassan to install my new carpets. He was easy to reach, always answered my calls and was extremely accommodating. I had to delay my carpet installation and he worked with me. And the guys installed the carpet in one day. Did a fantastic job and the pricing is competitive. Would hire him and his team again."

"They arrived early with a full crew as they had the impression they were cleaning an empty apartment. Once the actual requirements were made clear, the owner sent everyone home and kept a mother/daughter duo to do the cleaning. They were hard-working and thorough to what would be expected and completed the cleaning in several hours.  The owner returned when the cleaning was finished and spent the major part of the afternoon assisting me in re-hanging my blinds and cleaning the carpet in the main areas. This is a family owned and run business with an intent to do the best work possible and for a fair price. I would definitely recommend them and will likely use them again."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

If you’re using a carpet runner instead of a traditional carpet, pay attention to your width measurements. Instead of measuring the total width of your staircase with 2 added inches for foldover, simply measure the width you’d like the runner to cover. Runners generally come in standard sizes, so you may need to approximate what would look best in your space.

Decent carpet will last around 10 years on stairs. Some less durable carpets, like polyester, will only last five years on stairs. The ideal carpet, like wool or nylon, can last about 15 to 25 years. You’ll know when to replace it when it starts wearing down. You may have to replace it sooner if it's stained, whether due to water damage or pets.

The life span of carpet in a home with children and animals depends on factors like the carpet material’s quality, how frequently you clean and maintain it, and the level of foot traffic. On average, carpets need to be replaced every five to 15 years. Signs of wear, matting, or persistent odors may indicate that it's time to contact a local flooring company to replace your carpet.

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

Yes, carpets should be replaced after a house fire or significant smoke damage, even if they appear undamaged. Smoke, soot, particulates, and chemicals can penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and padding, making complete removal a complicated and time-consuming process. If water was used to extinguish the fire, it can also soak through the carpet and padding, creating a risk of mold and mildew growth. Due to these challenges and potential health risks, replacing the carpet is the safest and most effective solution.
