"I would highly recommend Primo Epoxy LLC! Primo Epoxy LLC did an outstanding job resurfacing my garage floor. From start to finish, they were professional, detail-oriented, and clearly took pride in their work. They had to work around my car lift, and the clean line they cut was precise and seamless. The epoxy finish is flawless, and the flake application is perfect — even, consistent, and looks fantastic. I couldn’t be happier with the result. If you’re looking for high-quality epoxy flooring, I’d 100% recommend Primo Epoxy LLC."

"A slope in our yard made the space hard to use, so we added a retaining wall. Way To Go Builders managed the project and suggested a reinforce concrete footing to support the block wall above it. The crew dug a deep trench, installed rebar, and poured a solid base. Once cured, the wall was built up and capped for a clean look. Drainage was included with weep holes and gravel backfill, which prevents water buildup behind the wall. The wall spans nearly 40 feet, transforming the yard into usable, level space."

"We had Del Mar Landscaping do the work and we are very happy with their work. The crew were very nice and willing to discuss my ideas and suggestions as we made some changes and additions to the job. We ended up doing more work than the original estimate covered and we feel the cost at the end was very fair. We would recommend Del Mar Landscaping to anyone wanting to improve their landscaping."

"Matthew did an exceptional job coating my garage. He is very meticulous and spared no expense spreading the "flakes" onto every inch of the floor in addition to the curbs. Originally, for an additional cost, I wanted him to return the next day to re-sand the surface and add an additional coat of sealer. He said that he would gladly take my money for it but it really didn't need it done. When have you heard of a contractor turning down an extra? Honest guy. Hire him."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can seal old or existing concrete, but proper preparation is crucial. The concrete surface must be clean, dry, and free of any incompatible old sealant. To check if an old sealer is present, drip a few drops of water onto the surface; if the water is absorbed in under five minutes, it's ready to be resealed. If you plan to use the same type of sealer that was previously applied, you may not need to remove the old layer. However, if you are using a different type of sealer, the old one must be completely removed. Before applying the new sealer, thoroughly clean the concrete and repair or fill any cracks to ensure a smooth, well-prepared surface.

Polished concrete floors also have downsides. Some homeowners, for example, might dislike the coldness of the material (though area rugs can help warm up the space). Concrete floors are also hard, which isn’t always ideal for children and pets. What’s more, these floors are susceptible to cracking, and repairs can be costly. Some homeowners might not like that installation isn’t DIY-friendly.

Epoxy flooring is used in many outdoor applications. Pebble epoxy flooring, in particular, is a great choice for most areas like porches, patios, and walkways. It adds visual appeal while adding texture using natural materials. The surface, however, can be slick when wet. Consider adding a non-slip additive if the area gets heavy foot traffic or if you live in a wet climate.

You primarily need to be concerned about the moisture level in concrete when you are dealing with a basement or other below-ground part of your house. If you find any indication of moisture in your subterranean space, consider calling in a professional for further testing and moisture control solutions.

Yes, you can seal an old concrete floor as long as you remove stains and repair damage before sealing. Remove everything from the garage and clear the floor throughout with a concrete cleaner and power washing. Fill in cracks larger than 1/8 of an inch wide and remove all grease and rust stains before sealing. Make sure your concrete is fully dried before applying sealer.
