"These guys are pros! I couldnâ t believe they donâ t have more reviews. I found these folks through Angiâ s List. I had an existing fence which was build by not licensed contractor and fell off in a year time. When Iâ ve met supervisor Julio and our project manager Mila I had a doubt that someone can get this job done on 100% which they did on 120%! Communication with in project was great. Quality of the job is outstanding I know for now this retaining wall & fence will stay here forever since I saw how many rebarâ s & concrete and digging was involved. I will definitely recommend Geico Builders team & management to everyone."

"Though they did not have a bucket truck, they used 2-3 climbers and accomplished dead limb removal as requested. They chipped up the limbs and cleaned up very well."

"Danny was professional and courteous; he’s passionate about customer service and satisfaction. Showed up on time; had to drive heavy chipper equipment pass a narrow fence gate; completed task and thoroughly cleaned area before leaving. Thanks Danny!"

"Erik came to discussed quote my tree trimming project. I needed maple and lemon tree trimmed back away from fence. I am glad Erik provided good advice otherwise I may have cut wrong limbs & killed my maple tree. Also had an overgrown shrub cut back, plus asked to cut & kill root of one eucalyptus tree cut back another on my back hillside. He quoted 1/2 days work & was able to do it a few days later. Great job cleaning up too! Definitely recommended & I will use his service again for a Yucca Tree project."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
