"My college aged daughter & son tried to get a spare key made for their car at a local hardware store in Carpinteria. When they went to try the key it got stuck in the ignition. They could not start the car and could not get the key out. The hardware store said there was nothing they could do.
My daughter was now late for class and in tears and my son called me in NY for advice. We had used Tri County Locksmith for the first time last month to change the locks on our house and they were very professional. I gave them a call and told them what had just happened. "Garage door spring replaced August of last year. Called this morning (Jan. 2018) and woman denied having any record of my prior sale/repair/purchase, said "they do not work for private individuals." Phone connection was incredibly poor, she called back. Service before seemed fine. I suspect the same spring broke, but there's no way I will call this company again for service "they only work for companies" and she kept asking over and over and over again the same questions - my name, address....saying they had no record. (Fine - happy to move on....no need for rude service providers.)"
