Customers say: Quick response

"Joe and his partner were so professional and polite! They came to clean my 11 blinds that havenâ t been touched in years and were filthy. Joe and his partner took them all down and cleaned them in their mobile van. Once cleaned, they hung them up and made sure we were satisfied with their serviceâ and boy, were we beyond satisfied! Our blinds were squeaky clean and looked brand new. Amazing job and I would recommend Joe to anyone who needs their blinds cleaned. So happy with the result! Thanks, Joe! You have my business for life! I will definitely recommend him to friends!"

"Life-changing! The best investment I’ve made this year!!! I’ve never hired a professional organizer, naturally I was skeptical. If you’re on the fence, just do it! Olwen knows her stuff and has zero hesitation in jumping right in. She is professional and punctual. She was able to accomplish what I couldn’t do in the past two years in only two days. She can quickly assess the situation in the room / house and give advice. I also loved that she can gauge and suggest attainable changes in the home that don’t seem overwhelming or make things stressful or complicated. I can’t wait to have her come back to help with the rest of the house. She’s truly a gem!"

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No, house cleaners or cleaning services do not need to be certified or licensed. Each state has its own requirements for licensing and certifications for companies, but most states don't require any special training to clean a home. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local guidelines for house cleaners and cleaning services.

You’ll often find mildew and soap scum in the same place, but they are very different substances. Mildew is a substance composed of living fungi, whereas soap scum is primarily an accumulation of mineral deposits. Mildew needs chronic moisture to thrive, while soap scum is unaffected by damp conditions (though it is a residue left behind by the water).

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

Clean your vinyl plank floors at least one to two times per week with a broom, vacuum, or microfiber mop. You can save the mopping and disinfecting for your deeper cleans about two to three times a month. Keep in mind that if you find sticky spots, spills, or stains, it's best to take care of them ASAP.

Virtually any material in your basement can absorb and hold onto musty odors, including building materials like wood framing, insulation, drywall, and flooring, as well as cloth furniture, clothes, area rugs, cardboard boxes in storage, and more. If you’re looking to get rid of the musty smell in your basement, it’s a good idea to remove or replace these items and address the underlying moisture issue for the fastest results.
