"The tile in the shower was done well, but the tile on the floor was not. The tile was uneven, grout missing and they put in the wrong drain cover. So, they came back and fixed it. The etched window in the shower that was caulked had mold growing under it. They came back and re-caulked it. The thermostat for the floor was not installed on it's own dedicated circuit, so an electrician has to come and fixed it."

"Awesome job! We have been preparing to sell our house and had a slate tile shower that to me was pretty much beyond repair. We live in Citrus height and the hard water plus soap scum pretty much destroyed the tile. Cost to re-tile was around $3500. Custom stone came in a little above 1/4 the cost. He chemically cleaned the stone with acid and was using a bunch of other tools to clean the stone. After he was done he sealed it all up and it looks awesome. Saved us a lot of money and time!"

Small jobs welcome

"Mr. Starrh provided the lowest estimate to replace a tile in our master bath shower. He accomodated our schedule and arrived at exaclty the time he said he would. He performed the work expertly and left repair site clean. We were very pleased with his work and will recommend him to any of our friends in need of tile repair or replacement."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Marble is high maintenance, like most other types of natural stone flooring. However, because it is naturally a more porous stone, there are a few added care instructions. You will need to clean it often to prevent dirt and grit from scratching the finish and surface, keep it dry, clean up spills immediately, and have it professionally sealed and refinished at least once a year to maintain the shine and water-tight surface. However, investing in maintenance is a smart move because marble floors are among the most beautiful and valuable types of flooring when properly cared for.

You can resurface existing countertops as long as they’re not significantly damaged. Of course, it does depend on the material. Wood, natural stone, quartz, and even laminate are all good candidates for resurfacing. If you have tile, you may want to just replace the damaged tiles rather than resurface the entire countertop.

Marble countertops are often considered better than limestone because of their superior durability and luxurious appearance. Marble is harder and less prone to scratching and denting, though it still requires maintenance and sealing to prevent stains and etching. Marble is typically more expensive, but its beautiful veining and range of colors offer a high-end look.

It is not recommended to put a hot pan directly on a marble countertop. While marble is heat-resistant, it is not completely heat-proof, and extreme or prolonged exposure to high heat can cause discoloration, cracking, or chipping. Pans may also scratch or nick the surface. To protect your countertop and maintain its integrity, always use trivets or hot pads. Note that faux marble finishes do not resist heat and require protection from hot items at all times.

Common issues include cracks, stains, scratches, and chips. These can occur from impacts, spills, or improper maintenance. Addressing them promptly can prevent further damage and maintain the countertop’s aesthetic and functional integrity.
