"Ernie, Jorge, and their team transformed a large side yard area into my vision and we couldn’t be more pleased with the result. They worked very hard to create steps down a long hillside, a winding pathway, and a memorial garden with a raised platform for benches. They selected the perfect plants for the garden, irrigated it all (replacing the sprinkler system with all new parts), and followed up on everything we discussed through the project. Several months later, the garden is flourishing and I am grateful every day to Blue Star for creating this special place for us to enjoy."

"David and his crew were professional, efficient, and polite at all times.  They worked together to break up and remove all necessary concrete on DAY #1.  They leveled all affected areas and set the forms that day.  They cleaned up and hauled away all the old concrete.  On DAY #2, they arrived at 0540AM to set up the concrete delivery system to my backyard and sideyard.  They placed rebar in all areas where concrete was to be poured.  Once the concrete was poured, the patio area and sidewalk area were broom-finished as per our contract.  All forms were then removed. David also began hand-chiseling out my exisitng metal swimming pool handrail.  On DAY #3, David removed my pool handrail and replaced it with a SAFTRON handrail that did not require grounding or bonding.  He did an EXCELLENT JOB!!!  Also, on this last day, David's crew members completed the re-grounting of my pool deck bricks.  I am so very pleased with David's work and would highly recommend him and his company to anyone needing concrete work done.

"Very easy to work with. The team did and outstanding job - quick, efficient and left the area pristine when the project was completed. I had been looking for someone to help with a small front yard patio and stucco wall for years to no avail. Once I spoke with Advanced Pavers it was a go! The outcome is exactly as I had envisioned and I am extremely pleased!"

Customers say: True professional

"They were wonderful! It was a big project and took four weeks. Everyday they were here promptly, were very neat, left things tidy as they left every day and did excellent work!!! We had an idea of what we wanted but Jaime (owner) had suggestions which enhanced our project. We were extremely satisfied and have already recommended to friends!"

"They did pretty good and we are just waiting for the inspection. There were just minor things that I was not comfortable with, but other than that, they did a good job."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Whether it's better to add a sunroom or a regular room to your home depends on your goals. If you need extra bedrooms, building rooms with four standard walls makes more sense than adding a sunroom. If you don't need extra sleeping areas but would like to expand the living space of your home, a sunroom makes sense.

A sunroom is worth installing on a deck, both for the value and your own enjoyment. A Florida room addition costs between $10,000 and $140,000, so it’s pretty expensive. However, a quality sunroom can offer a 50% return on investment, making your home more sellable. Plus, if it’s a space you and your family enjoy relaxing in daily for years to come, it’s worth the money, time, and effort, even without the added monetary value.

Yes, porches require foundations. The type of foundation required, however, is determined by the type and use of the porch. For example, a screened-in porch won’t require a new cement foundation. However, if you turn your porch into a sunroom or plan on making it a living space, then chances are you need a foundation that’s more permanent than piers and posts.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

A Florida room doesn’t have insulation, nor is the space heated, so in most cases, the room won’t be comfortable enough to use during the winter months. A four-season room, which is like a Florida room that’s insulated, heated, and cooled, is a better option if you’re looking to enjoy your sunroom all year long.
