David responded soon after I put out a request for bids for a new driveway and RV pad. He took the time to explain how the project would be done, what materials he would be using, and the results I could expect. Of the three estimates I received, David actually SOLD the job!

I was having problems getting quotes for a tree removal that this concrete job hinged on. Home Advisor would only recommended one tree removal contractor. Dave went out of his way to refer me to two more contractors beyond the one that Home Advisor gave me. He even honored his quote after the expiration date due to the trouble of getting quotes on the tree. Dave and his team came out and worked through the one of the worst storms we've had here in several years. The 3 day job quickly turned into a 4 day job due to the rain and mud. They spent the first day removing a huge deck in the pouring rain. The next two days were spent pushing mud around, laying gravel and forms. They poured on the fourth day and it looks flawless. The crew was on the job everyday between 6 and 6:30 and were very polite and accommodating with us on the few times we needed to move cars out of the garage. Outstanding customer service.

Western Concrete Designs, David Vasquez I would highly recommend using Western Concrete Designs. What a wow experience. We needed our steps replaced as they were very unsafe. David Vasquez and his crew were absolutely wonderful. We got five quotes and Western Concrete Designs were in the middle as far as the pricing went. The quality of work is outstanding his crew were very friendly and worked very hard to get the job done. I am the proverbial do it yourselfer and my wife is a perfectionist. The concrete that I poured decades ago needed to be replaced. We spent lots of time designing what our yard should look like and came to the conclusion that what we needed was a concrete professional. But where to find one? We decided to ask friends and neighbors use and web reviews. From this list, a handful of people who do concrete work came by and gave us a quote. The first contractor was ok but not perfect, the second's license was not up to snuff, and like the story goes, the third contractor, Western Concrete Designs, was just right! Mr. David Vasquez of Western Concrete Designs is a licensed concrete contractor in good standing with the CSLB (I checked). My wife called for a quote and set a time to have him look over what work we would like accomplished. He showed up on time, listened to my wife's vision, reviewed our hand drawn plans. With plans in hand David walked with us around the property. He then proceeded to answer all our probing questions to our complete satisfaction without hesitation. It was amazing how patient and professional Mr. David Vasquez was. It was obvious that this was the contractor we were going to use. We set the date work was to start and be completed. I was impressed when David pulled out his iPad and wrote up the contract in a few minutes, I was able to sign it on his pad. David explained he would come by the week before to re-walk the site and give us an update. Well to say this company goes to town is an understatement. At the end of the first day, what was going to take over a week changed to being done in a few days! Looking at the quality of the work and the speed it was accomplished, my perfectionist wife started doing her happy dance. David once again, walked the property pointing out what was accomplished i.e. grading the lot, laying base material, setting forms, etc. Plus, continued to answer our questions in his calm patient manor. On the day of the final pour, David brought in a small army of experienced concrete workers to handle the constant flow of concrete being delivered by multiple concrete trucks. There was David orchestrating this crew with aplomb. Days ahead of schedule, David and crew finished the project. He then walked us around pointing out all of the special things that distinguish his work from ordinary guys like myself. We were ecstatic. We are ecstatic. Not only would I recommend David and company, I have recommended him already. Thank you, thank you David Vasquez of Western Concrete Designs.

The walkway had to meet ADA compliance and this firm was very knowledgeable with a fabulous end product.

We had a sink hole develop in our driveway, and over the past few months it grew larger and deeper. I had a total of 5 companies come out and provide bids to replace the driveway, along with our front porch. Western Concrete Designs had by far the lowest bid, but what sold me was the owner, Dave. He is as honest as the sun is bright, and truly cares about every single detail of the work his company does. He is polite and professional, and after speaking with him for 5 minutes, I felt comfortable hiring his company for what is not exactly a small expenditure. When he gave me my quote, he said they could do the job in 2 days, start to finish. Fast forward to today. Dave and 3 of his workers showed up at 730 yesterday. The forecasted temperature was 106. Dave and his 3 guys removed my entire driveway, the RV access drive, and my front porch concrete, and then built all of the forms, and filled the area with the crushed base and compacted everything. They left at 4 pm. There was not 1 spec of debris or trash left behind. They even took the time to scrub the concrete dust off of my fence boards! Needless to say, I was VERY impressed. I had to be at work very early today, but received a message from my wife that the entire pour crew was at the house at 630 this morning. At 8, she sent a picture showing almost all of the concrete had already been poured. At noon, I received another picture showing that they were done, and already gone. I arrived home at 230, and all I can say is WOW!!! Dave and his crew have turned the front of my house into a work of art! The finished product is absolutely breathtaking. It looks better than I could have ever imagined! Along with a beautiful finished product, I noticed that they raked the flower beds and left no trace that they had been here other than the fresh new driveway and front porch. I have to say, I have never been a more satisfied customer. I HIGHLY recommend Western Concrete Designs for all of your concrete jobs!
