"We had 5 estimates for our roof replacement. Brazil Quality Roofing's price was competitive. James Harlan's presentation was thorough. The process, materials and choices were clearly explained. He's a very personable guy who knows what he's talking about. We decided to go with Brazil and we are very pleased with their work. Not only does our new tile roof look fantastic, it has dampened the noise and appears to keep the house warmer. The tear-off crew did a quick, thorough job. All debris was removed. The roofing crew was phenomenal. The roofers worked very hard in very hot weather. Our roof is very steep and uneven with many ridge lines, several gables and a turret. When unexpected events came up, Mike Gibbs, the foreman on the job, made sure it was taken care of or took care of it himself. He was a pleasure to work with. They were a fantastic crew and their level of knowledge and expertise was clearly up to task. The gutter guys were equally as knowledgeable and thorough. The entire process was handled very professionally. We had a deadline and Brazil met it. In addition, they have been responsive to minor post-job issues. We would highly recommend Brazil Quality Roofing to anyone considering a reroof.
"The gentleman who came to do the work (Rudy) was friendly and punctual, but just didn't seem very detail-oriented or professional, and he didn't come to the job very prepared. He came to install a skylight tube. He went up into our attic and started working - and he cut a hole in our ceiling down from the attic without *measuring the dimensions* first. After punching a big hole in the ceiling he realized he couldn't put the skylight tube there because there were framing members in the attic that restricted his access, and the skylight tube wouldn't fit but he'd already made a big hole there. So then he asked to borrow our tape measure because he hadn't brought his with him (?!?). After trying for quite some time to shave away the beams in the attic and make the skylight tube fit, he gave up and cut away the attic beams. Finally he could have room for the skylight tube. Except then he had to brace the beams in the attic to reinforce the area he'd cut away. But he didn't have any materials in his truck that would work. So again he asked if we had anything in the house he could use. We scrounged around down in our garage and found some pressure-treated 2-by-4's that he cut & nailed & used to brace the beam cutout in the attic. By his own admission they were the wrong size and the wrong material, but that's what he used. When he was finished with the skylight tube installation, the area of the ceiling around the tube opening was cracked, smudged, gouged, and all-around pretty ugly. We had no choice but to leave it that way until next time we repaint the ceiling, so it still looks bad even today. He also installed a solar attic fan, and he gave us a discount after all the adventures with the skylight tube. A discount was nice, but I wouldn't hire him again. Now I'm considering bringing in another contractor to repair the damage he did in the attic. "

"I was impressed with the fact that they actually came when they said they would. I feel that I may have been able to get the job done more cheaply but I'm afraid the job I would get for a cheaper amount would be a cheaper job. I think they were dependable and the job was well done. They did use nails on the deck which is OK but I would have liked screws better.
