"This particular apartment building had not undergone any remodeling and had lots of deferred maintenance. I began working with Fred and Deco Construction when a tenant left the property in horrible condition. The walls had been vandalized with profanity, the carpets left with the stench and stains of cat urine and when Fred?s workers were done cleaning the unit, there was a total of 20 garbage bags thrown out (all from one unit!) After Fred began working on this unit, other units became vacant and needed work done. Some units needed new cabinets, countertops and bathtub replacements however other units had salvageable items which Fred was able to refurbish, re-glaze or repaint. All the tenants were ecstatic to have properly working windows to enjoy the ocean breeze as well as new garage doors which actually worked throughout the year (the previous wood garage doors would not open when it rained). From the beginning, Fred completed all work obtaining city permits, inspections and finals. Because of Fred?s exceptional work, now this property is much more desirable and due to these refurbished units, I am now earning more rent on this property which makes me one happy landlord. Fred?s work ethic is without a doubt one of the best around town.
