"Victor was quick to come out and give me an estimate. He quickly understood the complexity of my project and gave me a good price on a solution. A couple of days later, he and his worker came out and finished the job in one day. He cut out and removed part of a concrete wall that was falling because of tree roots. He replaced it with a great looking fence. The area was cleaned up, and everything is in great order."

Small jobs welcome

"Where do I start? Paul was an absolute pro in completing our very large concrete project. He handled redoing all of the drainage and the job turned out perfectly. He is easy to work with and really knows how to deal with anything out of the ordinary that might come up. Highly recommend Paul at Concrete Pro for any residential project will also use him for some additional retaining wall work. He is my go-to contractor from here on out!"

"I seriously waited 6 months till I decided to on the right company that I can hire and to have them paint my house on the outside. I was in touch with several painting companies and at the end I hired Be Green Builders for that project because they are highly recommended painting company, honest, reliable and mainly fairly priced. I went to see some of their past projects and I really loved what I saw. They started the work on time, did all the right preparations before any coat of paint was sprayed and they finished everything (including the cleaning and walk thru) on time. they didn’t leave the house before the manager Nir saw and checked himself the work and made sure that everything is OK and that I am happy with how it came out. I am very satisfied and Highly Recommend Be Green Builders."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

Many services include sealing as part of the repair process. Confirm with your provider.

Visible cracks, scaling, flaking, and uneven surfaces indicate a bad concrete job. Additional signs vary depending on the project. You may notice poor drainage or even exposed rebar. Quality issues result from using the wrong concrete, rushing the work, or inexperienced workers completing the job.

Properly maintained, resurfacing typically lasts 5-10 years. Factors like surface usage and exposure to chemicals affect longevity.

Yes, adding a patio or other concrete feature can increase your property taxes, particularly if it's considered a permanent improvement. The general rule is that if the project requires a permit, your property taxes will likely go up.

Permanent structures like a poured concrete patio are considered capital improvements that require a permit, which will trigger a reassessment of your property's value. Other concrete projects that typically increase taxes include:

  • Pool decks

  • Walkways

  • Driveways

  • Steps

  • Foundations

In contrast, 'temporary' installations, such as a paver or flagstone patio, may not require a permit and are less likely to affect your property taxes.

Permit costs for a concrete patio can range from $75 to $200. While the tax increase varies based on your location and the project's size, it is often a minimal amount. Always contact your local building department before starting a project to confirm permit requirements and any potential impact on your taxes.

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.
