"Filipe called first thing this morning asking if I would like a quote for junk removal, just minutes after putting in the request. He listened and asked me to send a picture of the items needing removal. He called me back and gave a quote which I accepted. He arranged to come out this afternoon, same day. He brought a few helpers and proceeded to quickly load it all up. He swept the area and left it as clean as possible! I saved his number because we have more to remove from the garage. Thank you Filipe!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

It depends on the amount of trash you need to unload. Generally, renting a dumpster is more cost-effective than taking trash to the dump yourself if you are dealing with a significant amount of waste. For a small carload worth of junk, it is far cheaper to bring it to the dump yourself.

Yes, many providers recycle eligible appliances. Confirm with your contractor.

The most affordable way to dispose of hazardous waste is to find a local disposal program that accepts hazardous materials with no dumping fees. These programs are available in many communities and are funded by local governments. If you can transport your hazardous materials to the dumping site, you can often get rid of everything at no cost.

You can’t simply throw your ductwork out with your usual trash because waste management won’t accept especially large or bulky garbage without a prior appointment. Instead, you’ll need to haul it to the dump yourself or hire a service to do it for you. Alternatively, certain types of ducts can be recycled, so contact your local recycling facility to find out if they’ll accept your old ductwork.

Most companies that haul away old hot tubs build the cost of disposal into the price. However, there's no guarantee. Always ask for confirmation before agreeing to an estimate. If the removal company does not also dispose of the hot tub, you will need to rent a dumpster or hire a local junk hauling service.
