Customers say: Super punctual

"They are very friendly and knowledgeable. The technician that came out took the time to explain everything to me to help me understand how the chimney and fireplace work and why he recommended the repairs he did. And ever since the work was done, our fireplace has been burning cleaner and actually feels safe for my home and my family. Thank you all so much!!"

"Pros: Very prompt.  Took care to protect carpet and furniture. Thorough and friendly.  Made recommendations for approximately $800 of repair work. Cons: Service person took pieces of concrete off the chimney cap to show me the cap was crumbling (I would have preferred he just tell me).  Decided not to reuse service only because of my feelings about the chimney cap.  He did a great job cleaning the chimney.

"Fireplace Door Guy definitely exceeded our expectations. Not only was Danny (the owner) professional and responsive, the quality of workmanship was truly artwork. Our custom fireplace door is now the centerpiece of our main living room. We were so pleased with the door, within a month we ordered a 2nd door for our bedroom fireplace. Thank you Danny"

"With their help and suggestions, I managed to maximize the space in my kitchen so that I have more counter and cabinet space, without moving any walls.   They said they would finish in 4 weeks and they did!  I got many helpful suggestions from the designer who knew better what I needed than I did.   I love the "Strawberry blond" cabinets and matching granite, and I love my extra deep stainless steel sink. All the cabinetry works perfectly and  looks looks perfect as well.  I got lazy Susan cabinets to utilize my corner space. All my drawers slide out smoothly.  The men who came to my house were professional and pleasant. They arrived on time and were willing to work with my schedule. I would highly recommend their service, and if you saw my kitchen, you would too! "

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.

Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.
