Matt was very professional, courteous, and patiently explained the details of his observations and analysis. We have an old home, with the old original fireplace. The hearth "firebox" needs repairing as well as the topmost flue liner. He advised that we not fire it in the condition it is in. We really appreciated his input, which he gave time to pointing out the items mentioned and pointed out the particular condition(s). He was willing, and able, to furnish us a referral of an individual who is skilled in fireplace building and repairs. We have since had a consultation with that gentleman.

Matt has been our chimney sweep for at least 3 years now. He is meticulous and professional. Chimney sweeping is a dusty business, but Matt works clean. When our fireplace insert developed a crack, Matt was instrumental in researching if it was still under warranty (it was) and helping us get a new stove from the manufacturer. He does excellent work and his rates are fair.

I've been using Kleen Sweep since purchasing my home in 2010, Matt Kasterlung has always been very courteous, thorough, communicative, and professional. He is very knowledgeable on fireplaces and can answer any question you may have. I will definitely use his service in the future!

I thought he was very honest. He cleaned up his mess really well. I didn't have to do anything after he left. The fireplace was working beautifully.

I called Matt at Kleen Sweep back in the summer of 09 to look at a fireplace and chimney the home inspector told me needed repairs before it could be used. Matt told me I was calling at just the right time, as his prices are naturally lower during the "off-season" of summer. He came over, (took the time to make peace with my dog which always impresses me!), and looked at the fireplace and chimney and told me what repairs I needed and quoted a very fair price. He also advised me to put a rain cap on the chimney which not only protects against rain, but critters setting up house and told me I could actually get one cheaper at the fireplace store in La Mesa than what he could provide one for! I thought that was cool of him to be so honest. So I made arrangements for him to come back to clean and repair as well as install the rain cap I would buy from the store. He did all that for $180 and cleaned up impeccably after himself. The repairs were critical as they were cracks in the mortar which could cause the fire to get inside the walls! He did an exceptional job. He stated he would send a reminder notice each year during the summer to remind to have him come check my chimney and see if it needed cleaning. I ignored the notice last year, but just recently had him come check this year. He looked at it and said it wasn't time for a professional cleaning yet and didn't charge me a dime!!! I think some other folks might try to sell you on the cleaning for the easy buck or at least charge you for coming out! Matt is clearly a businessman of great integrity who knows how to treat a customer right and gain their loyalty. I will not use anyone else for my chimney/fireplace services!

SWANSONS CHIMNEY SWEEP DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON MY CHIMNEY. I REALLY ENJOYED MY OVERALL SERVICE. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I WILL TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

THIS WAS THE PERFECT COMPANY FOR ME. THEY CAME OUT AND WORKED REALLY HARD TO MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. THAT IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT. I WILL TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

SWANSONS WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL AND HONEST. HE ADMITTED THAT THERE WOULD BE NO WAY FOR US TO CHECK THE AMOUNT OF HONEY WITHOUT CLIMBING ON THE ROOF, AND THEY CAN TELL US ANYTHING THEY WANT TO! THE HONEY WAS RIGHT NEAR THE OPENING, AND VERY EASY TO REMOVE. THESE WERE READY-MADE CAPS, AND HE FELT WOULD DO THE JOB OF KEEPING BEES AWAY IN THE FUTURE. HE WAS ABLE TO COME OUT THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER I CALLED.
