"Recently, I had a mishap with my stand mixer and dropped it on our luxury vinyl laminate causing one of planks to dent and crack. I reached out to my community inquiring on fixing the floor. I had an extra plank so there was no additional material to be ordered. Someone reached out and suggested Ed McDonald and gave me his number. I was glad that he was licensed&insured so it put my mind at ease with moving forward with this repair. Communication with him went smooth and although it was a last minute request, he was able to fit me in on the next business day. He showed up promptly and was able to get in, see the flooring, get his tools, and work his magic all within an hour and a half. I had a lot going on at the same time but he was able to get it done with no issues. His service was surprising in comparison to other people that I contacted, so I appreciated his work more with him because of his reasonable price. I will defintley reach out to him for more work."

"We were very impressed with Mindseye construction. Joel was very honest and always let us know daily what he found and what needed to be done. He took pictures daily. The work they did was very professional and they knew exactly what they were doing. Joel and Brian worked so hard and were always here everyday when they told us they would be. We just cannot say enough about mind's eye construction and how happy we are we chose them! We definitely are going to use them again. Thank you so much Joel and Brian. You are awesome!"

"Michael's bid was very thorough and professionally done and the price seemed very reasonable. He arrived on time and did not waste any time. He worked well with us on a couple of adjustments during the job - and even did a little extra to help us out. He was very careful and thorough in his work -- and cleaned up the site very neatly."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, you will need building permits for an inground pool, and your pool installation company should pull them for you. The permit filing fee will usually sit between $400 and $1,800, and it should appear on your contract or invoice. You may want to confirm with your contractor that they will pull all necessary permits. You might also need a permit for a new fence, as many municipalities have special fencing requirements for properties with pools. A fence permit costs between $50 and $500. This expense may not be included in your pool installation estimate.

Yes, it’s possible to put too much salt in your saltwater pool, and doing so can cause a number of problems, including corroding metal parts and causing the chlorinator to stop working correctly. In general, slightly elevated salt levels won’t cause serious problems beyond salty-tasting water, but you should dilute the water in a pool with extremely high salt levels to prevent damage to its components.

Installing a pool chiller can give you more control over the temperature of your pool, especially if you live in a climate with hot summers. Just a few degrees of cooling can make your swim feel more refreshing and allow you to use fewer pool chemicals by slowing down the growth of algae. You might not need a pool chiller if you live in a climate in which temperatures tend to dip at night.

While some water loss from splashing and evaporation is normal, a rapid or excessive drop in the water level may indicate a leak. Other signs of a pool leak include unexplained soft or wet spots in the yard, cracks in the pool structure or falling tiles, higher-than-normal water bills, persistent algae growth or water discoloration, and standing water around the pump, pipes, or other pool equipment.

Fiberglass pools last the longest because they need the least amount of maintenance and do not have liners that can affect a pool's integrity. Concrete pools last the longest, next to fiberglass.
