"He took an outdated, challenging Zinsco electrical panel and replaced it along with the old wires. The metal house siding was reinstalled and looks so professional! Jeremy has earned every dollar for making my home a safer place to live."

"We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."
"LG Electric was great to work with from start to finish. Eric met with me prior to the start of the job to review the project and allowed me time for questions. Eric and his crew communicated with me on a regular basis about the job, progress, payment schedule and timeline. Their work was very clean and professional as was the entire crew. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for an electrician!"

"His name is Andrew Johnson. He is going to be doing our carport next. He does all of our electrical but he also does incredible solar. It was around $17,000 for the solar. We have a big house. You can't beat his prices. He doesn't have a huge company. His guys are great. He shows up when he says. He does meticulous work. The city's came out and told him right in front us that he did better than perfect. He lives in our neighborhood. He told him to get on Angie's List"
"Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with no real complaints to speak of. Overall they get an "A" rating from me, the only ding being a "B" for punctuality due to a postponed appointment. This might be due to the city inspector, but quite possibly because they were quite a few people handling my account which lead to some information confusion. The Verengo employees were always very courteous and up front about the information. You will find many resources prompting you to buy solar if you can, and I would agree, but if you don't have the $20k (estimated) then leasing it is the way to go and here's why: Your situation may vary, but my lowest electric bill (winter) was $120. We have a modest 2k sqft home with A/C and evaporative cooler. We use electricity responsibly, but we are power hungry in that I have a lot of air tools and appliances. In the summer the bill would push in the mid $500 range depending on how much I was willing to suffer through my evaporative cooler on the 110+ degree weather days. After the engineering, evaluation, installation, and initiation, my bill is a flat $128. Keep in mind that my lowest bill was $120 and I'm sure that included a vacation and a few days of maximizing darkness. Electric like fuel will never go down, and even though they will be slight* (you will have your increase schedule) it is still comparably lower than the electric company's yearly price hike. While I will not truly enjoy *free electric due to the lease, I did manage to lower my electric bill for years to come and the kicker is that I don't have to worry about the maintenance. To sweeten the deal, if I come across some money and pay my system off in advance, there are no penalties. So the system works, is remotely monitored, and I'm saving money. What other concern could you have? Installation? The conduit on the sides leading to the inverter were color matched to my home. I maintain my on evaporative cooler so I frequent the roof and know what things should look like up there. All of their work is sealed properly and positioned straight. They even repaired some previously cracked concrete tiles on my roof. I was impressed by their service.
Do your research if in the area, there are multiple solar companies trying to get your business. In the end I went with Verengo due to the customer service. I ended up being happy with the price as well. If you find this review helpful, mention me so we can both get added rebates ;).
"I'm very happy with the work that was done by Landmark construction and energy crew. At first, we met with Ron that came over and met with us about the issues that we had with our water heater and with the bills that we currently pay for electric. Ron recommended us to replace the bulky old water heater and to install a tankless system that will supply hot water immediately and with the use of less gas. We liked that idea and we decided to go for this project. Ron came over to our house with his 2 people that basically took care of all the removal and the installation of the new system. The work that they did took only 2 days from start to finish and now we have more space at the garage, and the bills are much lower than before…."
When combined with a substantial solar system, if you have enough Powerwalls, you could go off-grid and be energy independent. But remember, you'd need enough Powerwalls to power your whole home continuously because a single Powerwall can’t power large appliances for extended periods. One Powerwall is able to power an average-sized home's emergency circuits, lights, and outlets. To power large appliances, you likely need two or three Powerwalls.
Electrical meter risers connect your home’s electrical meter to overhead power lines so you can receive electrical service from the grid. Electrical meters also have a weatherhead, which protects the utility lines connected to your home’s electrical system via the service entrance cable. Risers connect the weatherhead to your electrical meter socket, which connects to the meter.
A light switch can stop working for several reasons. Typical causes include a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker, both of which shut off power to the switch. Worn-out or faulty internal switch components can also prevent it from functioning properly. Loose or disconnected wiring within the switch or electrical box is another frequent issue. Additionally, switches may fail due to age, excessive use, or physical damage. In some cases, problems with the light fixture or bulb itself might be mistakenly attributed to the switch.
Multiple wire sizes are used for residential electrical purposes. While the most common sizes used in homes are 14 and 12 gauge, some appliances, such as stoves, electric water heaters, central air units, etc., may use larger gauge wire to accommodate their larger amperage. Typically, larger appliances require 10-, 8-, or 6-gauge wires.
There are a few ways to reduce your electricity bills if you use window AC units to keep cool. Set the unit temperature at least 1 degree higher than it is currently to reduce costs. Keep the unit clean for it to run efficiently. You may want to hire a window AC specialist near you to inspect the unit once a year and keep it in tip-top shape.
