"Joes paving was the lowest of the 3 bids. They did the job on time, on budget, and did an excellent job. They were a pleasure  to work with and handled the numerous little glitches that arose with easy. Overall they were efficient and professional. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

Customers say: Quick response

"From beginning to end Thomas and Ceci Molina took excellent care of me. From the initial phone call Thursday evening, I had an appointment for the estimate with Thomas Friday morning at 9 am where on the dot I was shaking hands with him. After he listened to my needs and took measurements I received a hand written quote prior to his departure. The estimate was lower than expected and after being well taken care of by Ceci and Thomas aswell as being blown off by other contractors when it came to an estimate, I informed Thomas that I would be doing business with him. We scheduled for the following Wednesday to start the demo process of the driveway but due to extreme efficiency by him and his team, they finished their current job and were able to start mine on Tuesday. After 2 days I had a beautiful finished driveway with so much pride and care put into it. If your looking for overpriced work, lack of detail and pride and rude customer service look elsewhere. You’ll get only the best when you go with Thomas and his team at United Concrete."

"Quetzal Landscapes is honestly one of the best companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They built a fantastic looking and incredibly strong retaining wall in my backyard. I had a host of companies come out and bid and I’m so happy I ended up going with Quetzal. They were by far the best choice. Every person involved truly cared about the project and it shows in their end product. I will absolutely be calling Kris and Quetzal again the next project I want to do!"

"Great in every way!! Started Dec 19 and worked like Santa's elves. They arrive at 7:30 and work til 5:30 and bring their lunch and drinks. They are organized, diligent and Greg is honest and provides great value ( he was half my first estimate to save my pool from going down the hill!) Mine was a specialized concrete project and the slabs had to be jacked up and 85 bags of concrete had to be put under the slabs to form a retaining wall. Then they built a deck and put together a large gazebo. Everything went so well I hired them to finish off my garage and they did THAT quickly and for a good price. Being GREEK descent, Greg knows how to make atone and concrete and rooms that will LAST. He also fixed some plumbing that another handyman did that didn't work. He is pleasant, amenable to changes . I give him a five on everything he does!! Carrie in UTC/UCSD area"

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

When hiring a professional to pressure wash your home, it's crucial to choose a company that is bonded, licensed, and insured. This protects you from liability if any accidents or property damage occur during the service; otherwise, the cost could fall on you. Before making a decision, vet at least three different contractors. Conduct thorough research by reading customer reviews, looking at examples of their previous work, and verifying the company's license. Before signing a contract, ensure you receive a written estimate that details all project costs. It's also wise to ask potential contractors a series of questions to gauge their professionalism and experience, such as:

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • What are your credentials?

  • What cleaning methods do you use?

  • Do you have a workmanship warranty and insurance?

  • What is your availability?

  • What is your policy if you damage my property?

  • How long will the job take to complete?

  • How much do you charge?

  • What is your cancellation policy?

  • Do you offer a customer satisfaction guarantee or any additional services?

Stamped concrete is durable and relatively easy to maintain. Regular maintenance includes sweeping away debris to keep it clean and prevent staining. It is also important to repair any cracks promptly to maintain its appearance and longevity. The concrete should be resealed every 2 to 4 years to protect the surface.

The ideal frequency for pressure washing depends on the surface being cleaned and your local environmental conditions. For a home's exterior with siding that is safe to wash (such as vinyl, cement, or aluminum), a full wash once or twice a year is a good guideline to remove accumulated dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. You may need to wash more frequently if you live in an area with heavy rain or snow, near a dirt road, or if you notice excessive buildup. Other surfaces have different schedules; for example, a frequently used driveway may need cleaning more often, while outdoor patio furniture might only need to be washed every few years. Use your discretion based on how dirty the area gets.

The best ways to increase the lifespan of your driveway are to carry out proper maintenance and get repairs done quickly. First, reseal your driveway every one to three years to protect it from the elements. If you start to notice significant cracks, hire a professional to diagnose the problem before it gets more serious. You can also use sand instead of salt when de-icing your driveway (since salt is corrosive) and clean your driveway annually using a pressure washer to keep it in tip-top shape.

You should wait until your pavers have completely dried and cured before pressure washing them. Wait at least three to five days, though some sealants may need up to an entire week. Rushing that timeline can mess with the finish, weaken the seal, or leave streaks that are tough to fix. Once the sealant has fully set, stick to a gentle approach. Keep the pressure under 1,500 PSI and hold the nozzle at least two feet from the surface. Anything stronger or closer can blast the joint sand loose or wear down the sealant you just applied.
