"I highly recommend Los Angeles Pressure Washing, Inc., the services are prompt and professional. I recently made a major mistake of filling in the crevices of my brick-paved pavement. I used a very fine cement and it did the job of filling the crevices, however, it left an unsightly white-wash residue on my brick-paved pavement. I thought that it would be impossible to remove the unsightly cement film. However, L.A. Pressure Washing, Inc. did a beautiful job of restoring and removing all the cement residue from my bricks with minimal mess. The price was very reasonable too and I don't have to redo my brick-paved pavement with costly expenses. Thank you L.A. Pressure Washing team."

Vinyl Siding Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While any dark color of vinyl is likely to fade, dark red and dark brown vinyl tend to fade faster and more noticeably compared with other dark colors. White is the color least likely to fade, but it will show stains, mildew, and dirt more prominently than darker colors.

Choosing between vinyl and fiberglass windows comes down to your priorities. If you’re after an affordable option with solid performance and minimal maintenance, vinyl is your go-to. On the other hand, if you’re willing to invest a bit more for long-term durability, better environmental impact, and more design options, fiberglass might be worth the extra cost. Either way, consider consulting with a pro to figure out what’s best for you.

Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.

Bleach can be an option if you want to kill mold and mildew clinging to your siding. However, you must water bleach down to the right concentration of a 1/2 cup of bleach per gallon of water to avoid damaging your siding. Bleach can also harm plants in your yard and isn’t safe to use near pets, so employ it with caution.

Local pressure washing services often offer non-bleach options that can powerfully remove mold and mildew.

Not only is vinyl siding recyclable, but it’s also reusable. If your siding is in good condition after removal, you can save money on new siding and have it reapplied. It’s recommended that you clean vinyl siding once a year, but you should give it an extra wash in between uses. If your siding is damaged, small holes and cracks can be fixed with a caulk gun. For extensive damages, it’s better to drop off your vinyl siding at your local recycling center.
