"I used to think my studio looked “cool” with the original garage-style concrete floors… I was very wrong. During the rainy season, I kept having issues with water coming in, which caused my wood baseboards to mold and crack. It became such a headache. Finally, I decided to move forward with epoxy—and it completely transformed my space. It truly elevated everything. I 100% recommend adding the baseboards as well—they made all the difference. We had another heavy rain after the install, and although water did come in again, I was able to wipe it right up with zero damage to the walls. Huge relief. Now my studio feels more professional, clean, and so much more inviting. As for Jack, he was quick to respond, friendly, and very personable. You can genuine tell he loves what he does, which made the whole experience even better. I’m always happy to support a small business, and I truly wish him all the success. I’ll definitely be calling him again to do my basement next!"

"OMG, this is hands down the best contractor team you will ever have the pleasure of working for you should you decide to use them. They can do any type of work you need. We had them pull old carpet, put in hardwood floors, paint, put in crown molding. Paint the outside of the house, fix the garage before painting, fix the back door and front door, so they are airtight, fix the white picket fence, move the mailbox and re-post it, put in a ceiling fan, install electrical lines, paint the porch, fix some cabinets, put in a beam on the porch, and so on as part of some remodeling. I could not possibly have had all this work done if they had not been extremely reasonable. I love the guys on this team. I trust every single one of them and Rolando has a better personality than any contractor I have ever worked with. Not only that he is honest and trustworthy. He does not ask for anything up front. Their work speaks for itself. All I can say is that I hate even posting this because I do not want them so busy I cannot get them to come back to my house. Honestly, these are the guys you want."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

To properly maintain an epoxy garage floor, regularly sweep up dirt and debris using a broom and dustpan or a vacuum cleaner. Mop with warm water and scrub away stains using a mild cleaning solution that's safe for the epoxy product you have installed. Don't use any soap-based or chemical cleaners, as these can cause the epoxy surface to deteriorate more rapidly.

The biggest downside of sealing concrete is that it needs to be resealed every few years. This routine maintenance can be laborious if you do it yourself and expensive if you hire a professional. Beyond that, sealing concrete can make the surface slippery, which can be dangerous with people with mobility issues, young children, or those with pools near their patios.

When you’re painting a garage floor, it’s best to use a combination of rollers and brushes. You’ll want to start with a brush, making a border around the edges where the floor meets the wall. From there you can use a roller, though some people also like to do the entire first coat with a brush because it’s easier to work the paint into the textured concrete.

You can’t paint a foundation like you would the walls in your home; there are a few extra important steps to take. Instead of just busting out the paint, you should clean the surface and fix any impurities before grabbing the brush. Using a paint sprayer to apply sealant and primer will ensure you have the perfect canvas to apply your chosen paint color.

You can seal a concrete slab by cleaning the surface, filling in any cracks, etching the surface, applying a sealer, and letting it dry. Concrete slabs don't typically need sealing, but you can use a topical concrete sealer if you notice signs of water damage. If you haven't already fixed the cause of the leak, then you'll want to repair the plumbing before you seal a concrete slab.
