"We bought Angie's List Big Deal for Marble Trasformerz granite cleaning, polishing and sealing. Christopher and his crew of three arrived five minutes before the scheduled time and set immediately to work on our kitchen counter tops.. Christopher confirmed what I had been told previously: stains in the light colored granite are not removable. He also gave me pointers on how to care for the granite in the future and left a bottle of neutral acidity soap.  The crew finished within an hour with the countertop shining like new. Christopher followed up with a telephone call  the next day to assure that we had not found any residual problems and were still pleased with how our counter tops looked. Since the work was done, we are able to clean the granite with plain water. We couldn't be more pleased with the results of Marble Transformerz work.

"Jayna arrived a few minutes early with all her supplies, and a friendly, out-going personality.  She set to work immediately, cleaning my floors and downstairs bath.    She moved furniture as needed, rolled up rugs to clean under them, and vacuumed, swept, mopped, and scrubbed vigorously.  She was very thorough and worked quickly, but did not rush the job.
She actually provided more than the 3 hours that I paid for, because she wanted to finish all the rooms.  We chatted from time to time, but she did not stop working.
I am very pleased by the quality of the cleaning, and the professionalism,  and would be happy to use this company (and Jayna) again.

"Mark meticulously went through every inch of this antique from top to bottom and repaired all structural damage incurred over the last 260 years to include everything from small worm holes, to cracks on the table top and drop leaves, warps, loose joints, pegs and butterfly joints. He made it structurally sound to last another 260 years without changing any of the rich 260 year old character and charm. This is truly an amazing museum piece and family heirloom to last another lifetime."

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

You can buff out small scratches or indentations from your hardwood floor, but refinishing is your best bet if you have larger areas that need work. Floors in relatively good shape but have lost their luster can be restored with thorough buffing. If your finish has worn off in areas or if you have sun or water damage, you should go with refinishing instead.

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.

Yes, vinegar and water can strip wax. For a DIY wax stripper, mix about a quarter cup of vinegar with one gallon of warm water. You can also mix one cup of cream of tartar, one cup of white vinegar, and one gallon of water. Before using it on a large area of the floor, you should test it in an inconspicuous place to make sure it works like you want it to.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.
