NWP Heating and AirIt went very well. The owner came, inspected, and gave me a convincing recommendation. On the date of service, a crew of technicians came and performed removal of the old unit and installed the new furnace. They took the time and paid attention to details - to make sure there's no leak. On the same day, the owner visited my house to check the progress. The Vent CleanerArrived right on time. The guys had to go up on the roof of my 4 story building to reach the other end of the vent, even though I live on the first floor. Some of the lint blew onto a neighbor's deck on the 4th floor, they rang her door and asked to be allowed to clean it up. Super thoughtful and responsible! 411 Heating & ACHaroon diagnosed our problem and gave us the bad news that our system needed to be replaced. He gave us a great price and replaced our system quickly and efficiently. Getting the permits was a little confusing but bottom line is the city inspector told us that we had a top of the line system and that the people who did the install knew what they were doing. Duran HVAC incTony and his team from Duran HVAC are the A team!! I give them an A++ on their work for us. Tony came out and has very helpful in thinking about the overall job, and we discussed options. His team led by Paul then came out and completed all the work described above in 4 days. Tony came by and checked on the work progress as well. This team is so skilled at what they do, they are a pleasure to work with, very careful with tarps and cleaning up each day, and the work has been completely superbly! They tested the system at the end of the last day and showed me how to program the two thermostats. They are the best! This is the beginning of an excellent long-term customer-service relationship. I will definitely be asking them to come back and handle the yearly maintenance checks of the systems. It is wonderful to find a team you know are highly competent, reliable, and great to work with! Daniel came out first for the estimate which we accepted. Isiah, Miguel, and Narie came out and replaced all the soiled and damaged insulation from our two attics, and under the house plus replaced our plastic barrier under the house that had been soiled by the rats plus placed out traps. When they finished, it was like they had never been there; they bagged up and removed everything plus vacuumed up after themselves leaving our house spotless. They will come back to make sure the rats are not getting back in, and the work is good for three years.

When Israel came to review the job, he asked me when the last furnace cleaning/servicing took place. Er, ah,it was the year or two after it was installed. Well, duh, this was a big no-no. The blades of the air unit, the fan, the motor was just caked with dust that inevitably gets thru the filters. So....I had him do a full service and cleaning. Then the ducts. And he filled that shop vac with gunk. I have confidence in his evaluation and work. It wasn’t cheap, hence the slightly lower score above in a couple of categories, but....it was essential to the health of the family and expensive furnace! Cost includes: dryer vent, 13 furnace vents, full service on furnace.

This guy is a real pro! The original installer came out and gave up on the problem, and I never heard from them again. Duke came out, and diagnosed the issue in an hour. He even submitted the request for a part under warranty, received it, and came back to install it 2 days later. The cost was very reasonable. Thanks Duke!

My ancient furnace recently died; literally went up in smoke. Frank from Cabrillo helped me figure out what I needed, talked me out of some things I didn't need, and solved some other problems he spotted while he was here (like all of our ducting being too small to carry the air needed to heat our house, and not being to code). It was a pretty big job, but given that I had no heat Frank, Hugo, and Eric managed to rebuild our HVAC within the week. I couldn't be happier with the work, and the house is so much more comfortable now.

Wonderful companies I called before wanted a huge amount of money. Ace inspected the unit and were able to repair it. They also inspected our furnace. They offered expert advice. They were the only ones who told us to keep the downstairs door closed when running the air.

I'd like to add another 5-star rating for Air Doctor and a special thanks to Bryan and Casey, who did a great job cleaning my dryer vent and air ducts. Air Doctor was highly recommended by a local appliance company, and I was certainly not disappointed in the quality of their service. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and highly professional and respectful of my house and belongings when manueuvering their equipment. They were also extremely patient in explaining the process and making recommendations for future cleanings based on the amount of dust and debris they extracted. In addition, they pointed out large gaps between the flooring and air ducts that not only compromised the efficiency of my heating system but finally explained how large insects were entering my home! After explaining how to fix this issue myself, I opted to have them perform the work so it could be done professionally. Although it cost me some additional dollars, it was definitely a bonus. I highly recommend Air Doctor and appreciate that it is a woman-owned, small local company. Laurel and her staff were a pleasure to work with, and I will definitely follow through on their recommendations.
