"We needed someone to replace our windows, and a friend recommended EDI, we called them and they responded very quickly and gave us a good price to replace all our windows. Having them working on that, we have decided to go ahead and replace floors, added also an interior paint and install new lights in our kitchen, living room, bedrooms and hallway. The place looks pretty much brand new now, all we have left to do is to renovate the bathrooms. We are very pleased with everything they have done for us."

"Joe was very responsive and gave a quick estimate via a photo and came in under this amount.  He also came by to make sure his estimate was correct before he did the actual work.
Joe is very helpful and polite and did a few other quick fixes while he was here.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

The process to cut a circle in drywall for recessed lighting follows a process similar to the process for cutting outlet holes in drywall. The easiest option for making a perfect circle is to use a circle cutter tool. It makes a smooth circle in the drywall quickly, meaning you’ll have less cleanup work to do later. You just have to know the center point of the recessed light before adjusting the circle cutter tool’s length to create the diameter of the circle cut you need.

In this category, homeowners provide materials. Some installers may offer advice on suitable options.

You can use both LED and incandescent bulbs in an incandescent fixture as long as the bulb base is the right size. Never use a higher wattage than what the fixture recommends. However, it’s usually safe when transitioning to LED bulbs because they typically have a lower wattage than their incandescent counterparts.

There aren't any hard and fast rules about how far recessed lights should be from the wall. It depends on your needs for the lighting. For instance, if you want to highlight a specific piece of art on the wall, you'll want to install lighting close to it. But if you want to illuminate an entire room, you might want your lighting farther from the wall.

A general guideline of one-and-a-half to three feet from the wall is a good place to start, but in the end, you want to make sure the lighting meets your unique needs.

For high ceilings, chandeliers and pendant lights are great choices. They offer a decorative focal point to the room, while also illuminating the space. Track lighting may also be a good option for high ceilings as it allows you to position the lights around the space for all-over illumination.
