Customers say: True professional

"We hired McCormick Home Builders to remodel our living room, and we are beyond pleased with the result. The team was professional, worked efficiently, and Aris design ideas made a huge difference. The room feels so much brighter and more spacious. This was the best decision we made for our home, and we were already planning our next remodel with them."

Emergency services offered

"My house was built 24 years ago and was showing signs of exterior weather related damage (needed replacement of two living room windows that leaked and had lost their seal between the double panes; replacement of siding around the chimney and along one side of house along with replacing header board & some decorative trim above garage door). I contacted Crisman Builders. Mike Crisman presented a competitive bid which was very reasonable. His Foreman Mike and Apprentice Brandon were great to work with. Mike consulted with me anytime there was an issue and we came up with the best solution for the problem. Their work area was cleaned of debris daily before leaving. They were professional and completed the project to my satisfaction."

Treehouse Builders questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you can attach a greenhouse to any type of house. However, certain factors need to be considered, such as the structural integrity of the house, available space, and local building regulations. You should consult with a professional contractor or architect to assess the feasibility and ensure proper construction methods.

The only real drawback to green building is that it’s more expensive up front, with per-square-foot prices sitting 33% higher than what you’d pay to build a traditional home. The higher cost is due to more expensive building materials and more labor to ensure every aspect of the home is as efficient as possible. However, green buildings often save money in the long run, so this is just a temporary downside.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

Before you get started on your hydroponic garden project, decide on your garden’s location. For a small office or home garden, consider an indoor hydroponic garden. Contrarily, if you plan on making a profit from your hydroponic garden, you might need to rent land or indoor space to grow your plants.

The choice is really yours. Greenhouses available in kits can make the job go quicker. You can find greenhouse kits to match your style and size needs. If you enjoy designing and planning, you can build your own from materials of your choosing. Just be sure to do your research beforehand so everything ends up structurally sound.
