"I cannot rate the quality because I have not been up to that property to see if he cleaned out the gutters thoroughly. I paid him right away because he says he did it right away.He claims there is a hole in the front- but does not tell me where or how big ! I want to check it myself before I hire him or anyone to repair it - as he is asking the same price to repair the hole as I have already paid him to clean out the gutters ! It is only logical that he provide me with more details about any repair needed that he spotted while doing the clean-out.I hope he is honest- however this could be a scam -asking less than everyone elses price to do a clean-out** then always claiming there is a hole somewhere and now the total price doubles by the time the job is finished .I am putting these details of my experience out there because this needs to be checked on. Also if others read this review before hiring anyone I would suggest being there to observe the work and any repairs needed claims Perhaps I can help future customers as I never saw this coming and should have been @ the property for the work but my schedule prevented it. I do need to hire a handyman ASAP for other work needed in there and can update this review - for quality after that."

"Kerry arrived promptly and had brought all the tools needed for the misc. tasks I had previously emailed him about.
When we went materials shopping, he made sure we had a complete list of everything we needed for the tasks for the day, so the shopping went very efficiently, I liked that he gave some explanation on why he selected certain types of materials. Kerry seamless handled the variety of tasks I had asked for. At the end of the day, Kerry left all work areas in good condition.
Kerry is great guy for remodeling jobs because his experience for all the various types of work needed, as well as very willing to offer instruction if you want to do some of the remodeling work or prep work yourself. I am on a limited budget, and also really appreciated that he was very conscientious letting me know how to get good value for the materials I needed

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Water overflow, foundation damage, and mold growth are risks.

Yes, professionals can spot and rectify downspout issues such as clogs, leaks, or disconnections during cleaning. They ensure proper water flow, protecting the building's foundation and preventing water damage or erosion.

Once you’ve installed your gutters, you'll need to maintain them. You should clean your gutters once or twice a year to keep them functioning correctly. But if climbing a ladder and scooping out handfuls of wet leaf gunk is just not your thing, you can hire a professional gutter cleaner near you to do the job.

Yes, it’s possible to replace only one section of a gutter, and it’s a common repair. Often, a tree limb will damage a gutter on one side of the house, or constant weather will cause early corrosion. Gutters are often joined together with couplings that are easy to remove and swap out. For this reason, some homeowners will purchase extra gutters when they install them to have spare sections to use for replacement later.

Buried downspouts can freeze during cold weather as cold water runs through them. If you’ve discovered your downspouts are frozen, you can carefully pour hot water down the top of the downspout to defrost them. If that doesn’t work, you may need to dig your downspout back up. Avoid trying to break the ice from the exterior using a hammer as this can cause cracks and damage to your downspout.

To avoid freezing the future, consider adding a heating cable to the exterior, which can adjust heat based on the surrounding temperature.
